We just stopped in for 1 night. Upon Craigs recommendation we ate at Fat Daddy's (great food) and then spent the evening on the dock with a bottle of wine and watched the sunset.

Great Location For Boaters
Public ramp is close by. Lake accessible restaurants are close by. Boat dock is nice for PWC, pontoon or V-hull. We had a lovely time.

Wonderful stay great hosts!
Great location close to everything and right on the lake. The apartment was clean and there was coffee Craig was so kind. The parking was great the home was easy to find. The porch has a wonderful view. We will definitely be back !!!

Perfect spring break getaway!
As a New York residents we were looking for a relaxing place to spend our spring break and this is the perfect nice quiet place to do so. With a lovely lake view, peaceful neighborhood. Thanks to Craig and Dorie for the warming welcome and for the hospitality. Also a perfect easy communication all the time. We are coming back when the weather gets warmer so we can enjoy the outside activities.

Peaceful place on Lake Norman
My husband and I enjoyed staying at Craig and Dorie’s peaceful place on the lake. Imagine waking up to a lovely lake view from your bed! The neighborhood was very quiet, even on the weekend. Craig was very easy to work with.

Another Great Stay (2nd stay at this property)
We had another great stay at this property! We came down to Lake Norman 2yrs ago and had a great stay then, an opportunity came up for a weekend getaway on short notice and I was so happy to see this was available again. Craig was a great host, very friendly - available if needed but also gave us our space. They had everything needed for a spontaneous lake getaway with out pups! Beach, many kayaks, paddle boards, dock with chairs, covered patio, fully stocked kitchen, and allowed both of our dogs with no additional fee (a huge plus!). Good location with restaurants, stores, gas stations nearby but in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely come stay again!

Anniversary Weekend
Truly enjoyed our long weekend. The spacious apartment with patio overlooking the lake was perfect. We took full advantage of the dock and lake toys (kayaks and paddle boards) as well as swimming in the lake. Being able to have our dog with us made it that much better. There were even life vests for dogs so we could take him kayaking with us. Craig was super accommodating and wonderful to work with. We will definitely be back again!

Quiet and Peaceful
This is a very quiet, residential area. Very relaxing. It is NOT a party cove which was perfect for us. Easy water access. Not too many stairs down to the water. Close to popular restaurants. 25 minutes to Cornelius for some cute shopping.Craig is super nice.

Lake House
Upon arrival there was a noticeable odor to the unit, we tried to identify it and determined it was the entry rug which we put outside. The bathroom was small and had what looked like uncompleted repairs (holes in wall) and was not overly clean. During our stay we had several crawling worm/bugs on the floors as well as a large cockroach. The blinds on several windows/doors were damaged as well. Location was good and the space could be fine with a little attention to some details. Not worth the price compared to other places we have stayed.

We have been operating our VRBO for 5 years and have never had an odor problem in the past. However, in this case there was definitely one present and I am baffled as to where it came from. It was gone about 2 days after the guest’s’ departure. We had to make emergency repairs to a leak in the bathroom about a week earlier and due to the influx of guests, we were unable to completely repair and refinish the sheetrock. We cut a small square behind the towel rack and spliced the water line and replaced the square in the wall. We had no where else to place the guests. so we could not finish the extensive process of mudding, sanding and repainting. Anyone that has ever worked with Sheetrock knows that even a small repair can make a big mess. The rental is sprayed regularly for pests and I would have refunded the guests money if they had asked. It was just a set of bad circumstances that happened very close together.

Animal lovers
Craig and his wife(so sorry i forgot your name) are very friendly and sweet people who accommodate us animal lovers, as they too love animals. Their place is cozy and beautiful with a great view from the cove with kayaks and a paddle board. They also have doggie life vests for the dogs that love the water. If your animals are your kids then this is the pet friendly place for you! We will definitely be back very soon!

The Lake- One Night Stop
The place was exactly what I was expecting it would be based on the description, pics and previous reviews. Great lakefront house and property. we used the dock to swim from and also used the kayaks, paddle board, and big lake floating raft in the short time we where there. The unit itself is not a 5 star hotel but it easily met the needs of my family of four(2 college age boys) for a quick afternoon, night and morning on the lake. Craig is an awesome host and gives you all the privacy you want. Back patio is a great place to hang out at night for sure, quiet and peaceful and a cool place to watch out over the lake. We hope to come back again soon.

Fourth of July stay
My husband and I stayed in Craig’s rental for a few days during the week of the 4th to explore the LKN area. It’s a beautiful property in a quiet area. We enjoyed sitting on the swinging bench in the mornings overlooking the lake. Our dog was welcomed and was able to enjoy the area with us. The rental was much bigger than the pictures make it look and had all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill on the evening of the fourth and ate dinner while watching the fireworks. We will definitely book again if we are in the area again!

June Long Weekend
Craig & Dorie were great host and readily available prior to and during our stay. The property had a great view right on the lake and matched the listing very accurately. They made sure the rental was ready for our arrival directions provided took us right to it. After a brief walk thru going over the spaces and amenities available to us having the property owners on site was not a factor at all. We were able to rent a boat one day and spend time on the lake, our dog was able to enjoy the water right off the dock and we were able to throw some fishing lines in to enjoy the lake. One issue came up with the stove and Craig made sure to remedy it ASAP with minimal impact to our stay. Overall a great property and renters would highly recommended, if we go back in the future we would absolutely seek out this property again. Scott & Kenleigh June 2023

Wonderful hosts, location, view and accommodation where terrific. This quiet relaxing home was very well stocked with many supplies one might need including, coffee, and many spices. View is wonderful, shade, sun, dock, sunsets and water, couldn't ask for more. I highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there in the future.

Lake Norman
Really nice stay on Lake Norman. Craig shared a couple good recommendations for dining nearby. We had 2 small dogs with us and it never was a problem. Beautiful sunset view. You can see the steam plant across the lake, but a large shade tree blocks it out from part of the view. Would definitely stay here again.

Quick Lake Norman trip
We decided at the last minute to check out the Lake Norman and Lake Hickory areas. I found this listing the day before we decided to travel, and booked it without issue. The location of the property is very nice. Close to shopping, dining and recreation. The property owners live upstairs and are very friendly. The listing’s description is accurate. The property is very comfortable, and well provisioned. The owners have kayaks, paddle boards and floats that can be used off their boat dock or a sand beach. The property was plenty comfortable for my wife, myself and our dog. The sunset is beautiful over the lake!

Close to the boat club, easy access to the coves nearby. A downstairs duplex and lakeside hideaway. There's a nice beach and dock for boats. We were able to use their kayaks and paddle board too. Lots of fun!

Nice short Getaway on Lake
Everything was nice except the ant situation. There were ants outside and inside the apartment which we feel, should have been handled prior to our arrival. The ants limited us having food there plus made sitting outside difficult with ants all over chair cushions and crawling on our legs. Hope this helps for next person coming in;) otherwise- location was pretty and enjoyed lake while we were there.

Sorry about the ants, but the unit was treated approximately 3 weeks ago by Terminex and it was retreated the day before new guests arrived. There were other guests staying until the day before, so this was the earliest that the situation could be addressed.

Stayed here for 4 day long tennis tournament on one of the hottest weekends on record. Not only was the space wonderfu,, clean & cozy, it was very quiet and the AC was ice cold. Craig was wonderful host, easy check in/great communication. The patio & dock were just great with breathtaking & very relaxing views & location. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! It is right on the lake!! Dock, kayaks, swinging chair-what else could you want? I found the hanging chair on the porch and it became my throne for the weekend. Perfect! We will definitely be back in the future!

Nice place to recharge!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place has a beautiful view of the lake. I especially liked having access to the kayaks. There is a wonderful gently sloping beach that you can walk right in to launch. One of my favorite things was the Koi pond and the beautiful water fountains. It was so soothing and relaxing. You could close your eyes and feel like you were sitting beside a mountain Brook. We will definitely go back!

Great rental with an amazing view!
Although we only stayed one night we had a lovely evening. We enjoyed the evening with some local friend around the firepit with an amazing view of the sunset over Lake Norman. This was our first vacation with our dog and she quickly felt comfortable in the rental. The bed was extremely comfortable and Craig was a wonderful host who made our stay feel co for table and right at home. Overall is was an A+ experience and I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great place to stay when passing through Lake Norman.

We were attending a wedding on Lake Norman and this was the perfect location. The views from the porch and dock are wonderful! Our host, Craig, was very friendly and helpful. The unit is large, though the bathroom is small, but overall - we enjoyed our weekend there!

Great anniversary weekend
Craig and Dorie were excellent hosts. Their place was perfect for our needs. Centrally located to many good restaurants and very close to the public dock. We were able to put in the jetski’s at the public dock and Dorie and my husband brought them to their dock. When I returned to their home, Craig actually parked my trailer for me. They went above and beyond being great hosts. When we go back to Lake Norman we will definitely stay with Craig and Dorie.
