Overall, there seems to be a disconnect from whats presented online and the reality of it all when you visit.
The Good: Staff was super friendly and helpful. They addressed our concerns and were quick to find resolution to the best of their abjlities. Breakfast was offered and one of the highlights of our week long stay.
The Bad: They advertise as having two pools and a hot tub but only one pool is available and with both the hot tub and the external pool no longer available to guests. Indoor pool was available, however, it did not seem to be filtered or chemically treated properly as the water itself seem cloudy and some of the panels were missing their guards/tiles thus creating trip or fall hazards.
The Ugly: This hotel is clearly showing its age and while the rooms seem to be slightly updated, it leaves a lot to be desired for visually and esthetically. There is some deception in their advertising of amenities. The housekeeping is not up to par as some of the blankets were soiled prior to our arrival.
This location is clearly in limbo between a motel designation and a one star hotel status charging three star prices.
One expects better of a Wyndham property at those rates. I would strongly reconsider alternatives should I visit Charleston again in the future.
