Located in a quiet, residential community just 12 minutes from Sullivan's Island beach and downtown Charleston, Herons' Haven's provides its guests with a comfortable, home-away-from-home from which you can base your Charleston adventures and live like a local. Even better than Herons' Haven central location is the fact the Planters Place community pool is located just next door to Herons' Haven. Guests of Herons' Haven are welcome to access the community pool, lounge chairs, picnic table and sundeck.

* Live like a local! Herons' Haven is located in a safe & quiet residential neighborhood in Mt. Pleasant with a community pool. The community pool is operated & maintained by the Planters Place home owners association and is open on a seasonal basis -- usually during the months of May through September.

* Convenient location for visiting the beach (10-15 minute drive to Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palms) and downtown Charleston (10-15 minute drive).

* Living room has a flat screen HDTV, DVD player and stereo with CD / iPod dock.

* Free WiFi.

* Full size washing machine & dryer.

* Charcoal BBQ grill available for your use.

* Parking for up to 2 vehicles is included in the rental rate. You may not park more than 2 vehicles at the home at any point during your stay.

Guests enter Herons' Haven by walking up the sidewalk, past the front patio area with charcoal grill & outdoor seating and into the front door. Once you enter the front door, you will find a comfortable living room that leads to the dining room & kitchen. From the dining room, you can access the guest bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and the stairwell to the home's second floor. At the top of the stairs on the second floor, you'll find a closet with a full sized washing machine and dryer. You'll also find the home's two master bedrooms -- each with their own en suite bathroom -- on the second floor.

Herons' Haven is a family-friendly home tucked away in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Please be mindful of this residential character of the home during your stay.

No AC and the property manager was less than helpful

We arrived and saw an AC truck out front. The manager said they would be finishing up. No problem. We walked into a steamy home. Think Charleston heat in the summer. We contacted the manager and he said it would be finished shortly. Left for a few hours. Came back and it was no cooler. The thermostat screen was blank. Nothing worked at all. Manager says they would contact the AC company. He said portable AC units were a plan B.At dinner I received a text offering me 50% off or a refund of the day rate. He says the AC needed a part. He said portable AC were NOT available that night as previously mentioned. We could not stay. We had to scramble to find a hotel. We also discovered that the refrigerator wasn’t cooled properly. All the food that was very cold was now Luke warm and had to be thrown out. I asked for a further reduction since I had paid huge host and service fees. He refused.We went back the next day to find no AC service being done and the house was just as warm. We contacted VRBO as well. Not helpful. We asked for a full refund. Had to scramble to find a hotel. Actually had to book two different hotels to cover our stay. The manager was vague in his replies. He finally said we would be given a full refund although I have to wait 14 business days. Left hoping that we get the refund.This is not okay. He knew it wasn’t working when we arrived. Effort to fix was minimal. Just a refund of the daily rate. Be aware!!

Thanksgiving With Family.

I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Steven and Sarah of being such beautiful host. My family and I enjoy the house. It gives a beach house feeling. My daughter wish she could visit the pool but due to the weather I will make it another time LOL. My family was an hour away which is fine. But the outlets, restaurants, Walmart, etc everything you need it's less than 20 min away. The area is very quiet and parking is available. From the time I travel from NJ to SC, Steven was there for me anytime I need him day or night. Thanks for always being there for my stay in SC. We loved the location, you just cannot beat it and the pool is right next to this unit. They could replace the carpet upstairs, but the beds are comfy and the pillows are amazing . Great to have 3 full baths in this unit with a bunch of girls. Great little gem!

Great Location!

The house was ideally located to visit Charleston and the surrounding area. We are 3 older women and like our own bedroom and bath. This fit the bill perfectly. The complimentary bottle of wine was great and we enjoyed it! The only problem was the first bedroom at the top of the stairs needs a new mattress - my friend sunk down in it.

Great Place

The home is located in a small, quiet neighborhood that felt safe. Very friendly neighbors and people out walking their dogs. The house is right beside the pool which was great. The beds were comfy, decor was tasteful, everything was clean. Very cute, cozy place to stay. Only a 20-30 minute drive to Shipyard Park where my daughter was playing softball. Only a 10 minute drive to Isle of Palms where there's public access at the beach. Lots of great restaurants nearby. I definitely recommend this place!

Good Location Near Charleston

This property is in a great spot if you’d like to see Charleston and the surrounding areas. The beds were comfortable. However, it’s quite dated and feels “surface clean”. Only 1 shower can be on at a time to get hot water. The pots and pans are very old and there are very few. It was pretty tough to cook. There were only 6 washcloths for 4 adults staying for 5 days. The shampoo and conditioner and soap was something you’d find in a motel - low quality and not enough.

Pleasant stay in cute townhome

Our stay at this cute townhome in Mt. Pleasant was really wonderful! The host was very responsive and super nice. The location was great. With no traffic, you can get to downtown Charleston in fifteen minutes. Sullivan’s Island is just ten minutes away, making it a great beach home e as well. Highly recommend!

Lovely and clean space!

We really enjoyed this place. It has three bedrooms, each with its own bath, so it was perfect for us. (Three sisters traveling together). The house was super clean and had everything that we needed. The neighborhood was pretty and very quiet. The home is right next door to the pool, which was so nice. A very quick trip to downtown and fabulous restaurants, shopping and history. We would definitely rent this place again. Nice grocery store right across the street so made it easy for us to prepare meals.

Comfortable and Convenient place to stay.

My family and I especially enjoyed the decor in this condo. Finding a parking spot for 3 adults with care was a problem. The outside entrance area could use some attention as there were weeds . I felt safe there as long as I had a close parking space. The pool was close by but too cool to enjoy. The carpet in the downstairs bedroom had some stains . I was forewarned about pollen and my grandson did have some congestion when he came inside. Overall our stay there was good.
