Plan your getaway to Boardwalk Village and stay in this brand new, cozy, beautifully furnished lakefront cottage on Grand Lake St. Mary’s in Celina, OH! This 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is situated at Boardwalk Village, an all-in-one experience alongside Greater Grand Lake, and is a walking and biking paradise. Boardwalk Village is perfect for a unique and relaxed getaway that is still in close proximity to shopping, dining, and other entertainment options!

Welcome to The Sandlot! A cozy & fun, lakeside cottage that is a perfect place for a small group or couple!

As you walk in from the welcoming covered porch, you are greeted with an airy, fully-furnished, open-concept living space that features a beautiful, well-equipped kitchen which has everything you need from making a fresh morning cup of coffee to a tasty home-cooked meal. The living room is the perfect spot to put your feet up and relax after a long day on the lake. You can flip on the Smart TV, sign in to your streaming account and catch up on your favorite shows or movies. We have also provided you with a variety of games that will keep you entertained even on those rainy afternoons! The living room accommodates space to relax or sleep as it includes a queen sleeper sofa.

Continue through the cottage where you`ll find a cozy bedroom furnished with a queen bed. There is also a full bathroom that is stocked with fresh bath linens & pool towels. You can also rest assured you`ll have a pleasant and relaxing night’s sleep on quality linens that are fully laundered between each guest, from sheets to blankets and coverlets.

A washer and dryer are also provided in your unit for your convenience.

Enjoy the many perks of staying at Boardwalk Village. Not only is there a refreshing, heated pool right next door at our other cottages, but there is a beautiful, over-sized pool just steps away from your front door that you are welcome to enjoy! You can even stop over at the community grilling area next to the pool to grill up your favorite meals...play a few rounds of cornhole while you`re at it!

In search of some outdoor recreational fun?! We can`t be on the lake without offering just that! Stop by Helton Lodge Rentals, right next door to Boardwalk Village, where you can rent a pontoon, Speedster boat, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, golf carts and bicycles! They are your one-stop-shop to get you around Grand Lake without ever having to get in your car!

Just a few more steps and you`re at Boardwalk Grill! We highly recommend having dinner there at least once. You`ll get to experience fresh food, hand-crafted cocktails and live music...all lakeside!

Guests do not need to check in at an office or lobby. They will receive a personal door code that will activate at the time of check-in. Boardwalk Village guests will have access to both pools, grilling station, outdoor dining area, and green space. Free parking is also available for guests (parking pass(es) provided in each unit).

The easiest way to communicate is through the platform in which you booked through. Please use the messaging feature.

BEDS: This unit sleeps up to 4. There is a master bedroom, with a queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

PARKING: This house comes with 2 parking passes that are provided inside the unit. If they are not left in the welcome basket upon check-out, you will be charged a fee of $75/each to replace. No additional parking passes will be given. If additional parking is needed, please contact the host. Parking at BOARDWALK GRILL is prohibited unless you are dining at the restaurant.

POOL: We will provide 4 wristbands in your unit for each guest to access the pool areas. If wristbands are not left in the welcome basket upon check-out, you will be charged a fee of $50/each to replace. We also provide a key fob that gains you access to the pool when open. You will be able to access both pools with this key fob. Pool access is for staying guests only.

*Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty. Guests use the pool at their own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur in the pool area.*

PETS: This is a pet friendly unit.
•Non-aggressive, non-large breeds only (no Pit Bulls, Dobermans, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Terriers, Akitas, Mastiffs, Great Danes, etc.)
•Must be under 50 lbs.
•$50 pet fee/reservation
•1 dog max
•No cats, no exceptions
•Pet description required upon booking (name, breed, weight, age)

SECURITY DEPOSIT: At Boardwalk Village, we pride ourselves not only on our superb service but the quality of our units as well. With that, a $250 security deposit will show as a pre-authorized/pending charge on your credit card prior to your check-in. This is to cover any broken, stolen, damaged and/or irreplaceable items, and smoking anywhere inside the unit. This pre-authorized/pending charge will fall off of your account if none of the above happen. If the cost of damages exceeds the $250 security deposit, the additional amount will be charged to the card on file.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The cancellation policy is a 100% refund up to 60 days before arrival, 50% refund up to 30 days before arrival, no refund within 30 days of check-in. This also applies to any reservation date changes. When booking through Airbnb, the cancellation policy is a 50% refund up to 30 days before arrival.

ADDITIONAL BOOKING INFO: You will only be charged 50% of your entire reservation amount upon booking (unless your check-in is within 30 days). The final 50% will be auto-charged 30 days prior to check-in.

BOAT RENTALS: Helton Lodge Boat Rentals is located right here at Boardwalk Village! Helton Lodge offers rentals for pontoon boats, kayaks, paddle boats, golf carts, bicycles and more!

BOAT DOCKS: Dock spaces are available for rent for $25 per each day of your reservation if you are bringing your own boat. If you are renting a boat from Helton Lodge, you do not need to rent a dock as one is already provided.

BOARDWALK GRILL EVENT SPACE: Boardwalk Grill has an ideal rental space to host a variety of events! Enjoy their private upstairs room for FREE with their regular menu if you have a party of 25 people or less. Charges are applied and the catering menu is required with parties over 25. Events include but are not limited to family reunions, bridal/baby showers, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, retirement parties, company gatherings, holiday parties, etc.!

SUB SHACK: We`ve got two awesome Sub Shack locations! Boardwalk Marketplace - Our seasonal (May 1st-September 30th), weather-based spot serving subs, salads, apps & more. Shipyard Sports & Events Center - which is just 0.6 miles down the road from Boardwalk Village! Enjoy a full dining experience with subs, salads, apps, drinks & plenty of fun. The restaurant overlooks the Sports Fieldhouse, so you can kick back while the kids shoot hoops, play soccer, and more (when leagues and tournaments aren`t in session). Plus, take a swing in our indoor golf simulators!

FITNESS CENTER ACCESS FOB: An amazing fitness experience awaits you at Innergy Fitness, located inside Shipyard Sports and Event Center. By purchasing an access fob add-on at check-out, you`ll get 24/7 access to top of the line cardio + strength equipment, a dry + infrared sauna, and access to their innovative fitness classes! The cost of the access fob add-on is $5 per fob per night of your reservation, so you are able to access the Innergy Fitness facility throughout your entire reservation. If it is not left in the welcome basket upon check-out, you will be charged a fee of $75 to replace.

BLUE GOOSE SHUTTLE: Hop on the Blue Goose and let it shuttle you to all the local events, bars, restaurants, and shopping locations. The Blue Goose travels on its regular route throughout Celina on weekends from May 1st through September 30th. From October 1st through April 30th, you can call in advance to reserve the Blue Goose. Don’t worry about driving anywhere during your stay at Boardwalk Village!

COCONUT HUT: located in the Boardwalk Marketplace, is open and serving up island vibes, delicious food from the Sub Shack, and tropical drinks, 7 days a week from May 1st -September 30th! It`s a lively, laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere we`ve created for guests and locals alike - and we hope you`ll come check it out!

WEEKLY/MONTHLY OFF-SEASON DISCOUNTS: We offer a 15% weekly discount if you stay 7+ nights and a 30% monthly discount if you stay 30+ nights. These discounts are valid during our OFF-SEASON months only (October-April). The discount codes can be applied at the time of booking your reservation but are not valid if you are taking advantage of our extended stay program. We have the right to remove the discount code from your reservation if you are staying in a unit that is part of our extended stay program. The below details will show the validity period for each discount code:

An extended stay booking is for short-term, temporary lodging only. No tenancy rights or landlord-tenant relationships are created. This property may not be used as a permanent or primary residence. Guests may not receive mail or packages at this address. Guests must vacate the premises by the end of the reservation. Failure to vacate will result in additional charges, and legal action may be taken if necessary.

**The fourth phase of Boardwalk Village is currently under construction. Construction will begin October 2025 and is expected to be finished Summer 2026. This is taking place on the far South end of the property.

Great stay- that could use some improvements!

The house was cozy and clean! Nice layout of the kitchen and living room. The bed was the hardest/firmest bed I have ever slept on in my life. My back and hips are sore from sleeping on it for a 4 night stay. My husband and I are coming home very tired from losing sleep. The blankets on the bed are thin like a hotel blanket and not cozy. I am glad that I brought my own blanket. The porch is very cozy it was the highlight of the trip. There is not that many options for dinner restaurants. The restaurant close to the village, Boardwalk Grill, is very good. We brought our jetski to use on the lake. The lake is really pretty but is not a swimming lake. There are signs that explain that there is a thick algae that many have gotten sick from. If you walk past the boat launch, there is a peaceful park area that is woodsy and beautiful. We got a lot of steps in each day. The kids small pool was heated but the other pool was very cold.

Perfect Get Away

Great location, unit was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the bar, pools, restaurant, food truck, and ice cream store. With all the fun, we also got a few work-out in at the gym that is available a block away. Our unit didn't have any paper towels, kleenex or trash bags when we arrived, I'd prefer if one of each was included so we didn't need to go to the store for these essentials. Otherwsie, it was a great stay.

There’s no crying at the Sandlot Cottage!

What a charming cottage and Boardwalk Village! The cottage covered the three C’s: cute, clean, and comfortable! The baseball theme throughout was adorable. It was the perfect size for two adults, a small dog, and a few visitors for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back later this year!
