8ung: Wenn auf die Zimmerrechnung konsumiert wird, gibt es ein Ausgabenlimit. Allerdings wirs dies beim Checkin nicht mitgeteilt. Wir wurden am letzten Abend unseres Aufenthaltes an der Bar darauf hingewiesen, dass unser Kreditlimit aufgebraucht sei. Und dies notabene vor dem gesamten anwesenden Personal und Gäste. Ein absolutes NO GO! Wir haben interveniert und darauf hingewiesen, dass man dies von Anfang an wissen sollte, so dass eine Zwischenrechnung bezahlt werden kann. Ansonsten war alles OK

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr interessanten Lage. Alles in und um Abstand ist sehr gut zu erreichen. Durch die Lage direkt am Hafen, ist man allerdings schon auf ein Auto angewiesen, der Fußmärsche lang und nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit auch nicht mehr sicher sind. Leider verfügt das Hotel über keinerlei Außen Bereiche, in denen man sich aufhalten, essen oder etwas trinken kann. Der Frühstücksraum ist meist zu überfüllt und man wartet auf einen Tisch. Zudem ist er schlecht belüftet und durch die hohe Auslastung des Hotels zu Zeiten zwischen 9 und 10:00 Uhr sehr, sehr lebhaft. Das Speisen Angebot ist unterdurchschnittlich zu anderen Marriott Hotels in Kapstadt, die ich kenne. Die Lobbybar ist zweckmäßig, lädt aber nicht zum verweilen ein. Sie grenzt direkt an die Lobby (morgens Teil des Frühstücksraums!) und hat somit keinerlei eigenen Charakter. Unser sehr geräumiges Zimmer war hervorragend (Eckzimmer mit Bergblick), wobei wir leider auf eine Baustelle schauten. Dennoch, Lions Head, Signal Hill und der Tafelberg waren frei zu sehen. Klasse! Wir haben in der Tiefgarage geparkt, was nicht nur recht günstig (ZAR100/ Tag), sondern auch absolut bequem war. Absolut erwähnenswert ist das stets superfreundliche Personal. Ob im Haus Keeping, an der Rezeption, der Concierge oder die Servicemitarbeiter: alle absolut aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Zusammengefasst überzeugten uns die Lage und das Zimmer. Buchen würden wir das Hotel jedoch nicht mehr.

Sowohl Service als auch Ausstattung waren sehr gut. Der gegen Aufpreis hinzu buchbare Shuttle zum/vom Flughafen klappt super. Auch zum Cruise-Terminal kann man diesen Service buchen. Check-in und -out freundlich und schnell. Zimmer sauber und modern, viele Steckdosen. Im Bad große ebenerdige Dusche. Inkludiertes Frühstück reichhaltig. Jederzeit wieder!

Toller aufmerksamer Service und netter Kontakt, durften sogar kostenlos knapp 2 Stunden länger bleiben. Frühstück ausgesprochen umfangreich. Auch wenn es an dem Tag sehr voll war, bekamen wir nach kürzester Wartezeit einen Tisch zugewiesen.

Transfer funktioniert nicht.
Sehr schönes Hotel. Preis / Leistung passt . Schöne Lage, nicht weit von der Waterfront. Diese ist zu Fuß in fünf Minuten erreichbar. Sehr schöne und große Zimmer. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Personal sehr freundlich. Leider hat der im Hotel per e-Mail vorab bestellte Transfer vom Flughafen nicht geklappt. Ankunft war um 23:00 Uhr Ortszeit , dann ein Taxi suchen zu müssen ist nicht sehr toll. Im Hotel hat sich das Management dafür überhaupt nicht verantwortlich gefühlt, weil dieser an einen externen Dienstleister ausgelagert ist-was für den Kunden nicht erkennbar ist. Dies hat unseren Aufenthalt etwas getrübt.

Wir hatten Satdtblick gebucht und erhielten ein Zimmer mit fantastischem Blick auf den Tafelberg! Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, mit zwei großen Betten, sodass man auch locker mit 2 Kindern dort übernachten könnte. Das Bad war modern mit toller Dusche und alles war extrem sauber. Fußläufig konnte man innerhalb von ein paar Minuten zur Waterfront laufe, das Hotel bot jedoch auch einen kostenlosen Shuttler stündlich an. Besonders toll war das Frühstück. Hier fehlte es für jede " Nation" an nichts. Es gab Brötchen, Wurst etc. alle Arten von Eiern, Warmspeisen, Salate , frisches Obst und Smoothies etc. Wir werden auf jeden Fall zurückkommen!!

Nothing special about the property but the location is central. The View of Cargo containers across from hotel entrance is unappealing. It is the shipping dock spot where cruise ships were parked for the cruisers. Walking distance to the Marina and V&A, which was convenient. They also have a free bus shuttle and boat shuttle to the waterfront. The staff is super kind and breakfast buffet is extravagant. The table Mountain View from the room was also beautiful.

We stayed three nights at the AC Marriott hotel 3-6 April 2024. From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out the service was exceptional! The staff were helpful, friendly, hospitable and professional. The hotel and our room was lovely and clean. The beds were super comfy. The mountain views were breathtaking. The convenient, complimentary canal cruise into the V&A Waterfront was a lovely surprise and appreciated. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here. Check in experience was terrible. Property was listed waterfront but the view is of a container yard. Shuttles to the waterfront area do not have a very frequent schedule and the water shuttle closed down due to wind. Not an easy property to get to.

Great hotel located 15 minutes walk from The V&A Waterfront. Safe to walk during the day, need transport evenings and night. The hotel provide shutle bus and boat. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and great food - but if you want a pool and sun it's in the shadow most of the day. The gym could be better equiped. We enjoyd a week at the hotel but needed to book a Beach Club to enjoy a day at the pool side

Great value for money. Uber is cheap and plentiful, and makes up for the walking distance to the waterfront. Easy underground parking with lift to foyer. Friendly. Great breakfast.

Muy bonito pero no está fácil si vienes del puerto
Hotel muy bonito y limpio cerca del waterfront, lo único malo es que si vienes de un crucero está muy difícil el acceso aunque está frente al puerto, forzosamente hay que tomar taxi :/

A good choice
As other reviewers have said, the hotel is in a cul de sac which makes it difficult to reach. Once you have got your bearings it all works very well and the complimentary shuttle to the waterfront works well anyway. Staff excellent, breakfast very good and if a modern chain hotel is your thing you will not be disappointed.

Room was very nice. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was quite pleasant and helpful. Room service was very good. We stayed one night following a cruise and enjoyed the stay.
