Das Hotel ist ein Wohnkomplex, in dem kein reiner Hotelbetrieb herrscht. Das schafft eine eigenartige Atmosphäre, üblichen Hotelstandard sucht man vergebens. Entsprechend ist das Zimmer im Grunde eine Wohnung, die von der Größe gut ist, auch vernünftig ausgestattet ist, aber schön und Wohlfühlfaktor sind etwas anderes. Das Büro hat eigenwillige Öffnungszeiten (ab 17 Uhr, ab 9 oder 10 Uhr, Checkout vorher per Mail) - man bekommt zu Beginn gleich zig Informationen in kürzester Zeit wie alles funktioniert, aber persönlich ist das nicht.

Zu teuer für den nicht vorhandenen Service
Nachdem ich die Rezeption nach etwas suchen gefunden hatte, wurde ich freundlich empfangen. Sehr positiv fand ich die Möglichkeit das Auto in Tiefgarage abzustellen. Das Zimmer war gross und hell und hätte alles was man bräuchte. Auf den ersten Blick. Es gab nur Verdunklungsvorhänge, freier Blick ins Zimmer. Grosser TV, Bild war auf 3:4 eingestellt, kleines Bild. Telefon ging überhaupt nicht, freie Lokal calls? Schwimmbad im anderen Gebäude, über die Strasse, durch die Bar, toll bei 4 Grad. Toilettenpapier wurde in 5Tagen nicht aufgefüllt, Betten wurden nur zusammengeworfen, auch nicht gewechselt. Dusche und Boden wurden nicht gereinigt. Hinter dem Nachtschrank(auf der Suche nach Steckdose) Staub, klebrige Getränkeräste, Bonbonpapier, Q Tips gefunden.Die Rezeption hat sich alles angehört, passiert ist nichts. 2x in 5 Tagen musste die Zimmerkarte neu codiert werden, Rezeption nur zu bestimmten Zeiten besetzt, besser rechtzeitig kommen. Ich fühlte mich nicht willkommen, Hauptsache bezahlt, der Rest ist egal.

Our housekeeping team do their best to provide a daily tidy and refuse removal service with a full clean on the third day of longer stays for our guests. We checked our housekeeping log and this service was refused by the guest so we respect your privacy. Please note that room cards can be demagnetized if kept close to your cell phone. Das Hotel liegt sehr gut, alles was man braucht in der nähe und die Zimmer sehr geräumig, sogar eine Tiefgarage im Preis, die wir nicht nutzen konnten da unser Fahrzeug zu hoch war. Lobby ist nicht rund um die Uhr besetzt was uns was zum Problem wurde, da wir Abends nicht ins Zimmer gekommen sind da unsere Schlüsselkarte nicht funktionierte, also nicht zu Spät kommen. Frühstück gibt es nicht aber in der Nähe sind einige Möglichkeiten die teilweise zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Das Hotel macht einen guten und Sauberen Eindruck und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.

We are really sorry that the pool is closed for maintenance. We do need to do this occasionally to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. Regarding communication, you absolutely would have received notification that the pool would be closed with your confirmation. We are offering a discount on the resort fees due to this but we understand if you were really excited about the pool. It is very popular! Had you not received communication to advise that the pool was closed, you would not have been able to cancel prior to check in. Wish you all the best in your travels!

More of a hostel than a hotel. They say they have a restaurant and a pool but they don’t. It’s a different company a half a block away. Would not stay here again.

The price was the #1 reason we booked this spot and for that it was great compared to anything else in the area. The room itself was small.and very dated. It was about 25* in our room overnight with the very small window open and the supplied fan on full blast. The beds and pillows were brutal and none of us got a decent sleep. I am not sure if the property is going through renovations or something but thr vending machine on out floor was all busted and broken. There were what seemed to be industrial dryers or machine in the parkade. Because of the beds, pillow and lack of temperature control for the room, this would be a hard pass for us in the future

Your comments are invaluable to us as we continually strive to improve our services and facilities. While we are always making upgrades to our rooms and continue to improve, we are not currently under major renovations and the washing machines in the parkade are not related to the hotel.We are sorry to learn that you found the temperature control unsatisfactory, our building is equipped with industrial heating and cooling and to ensure that pipes do not bust in -20 degree weather that we often experience here in the mountains, the air conditioning will not turn on until the temperature outside reached at least 10 degrees. This is a safety measure designed to manage the drastic temperature changes that we experience here. For this reason, we do supply fans in all our rooms. Additional fans can be requested from our front desk anytime during your stay. Your concerns regarding the beds and pillows have been noted, and we will address them promptly to ensure a more restful experience for our guests in the future.Regarding the vending machines, we are experiencing a staff shortage in the Bow Valley and at times we do have to wait for longer than we would like for technicians to be available for repairs. We do have an additional vending machine on the main floor near the lobby. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. We are constantly working to improve our property, and we hope that you will consider giving us another chance to exceed your expectations in the future. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you would like to discuss your stay further or if there is anything else we can assist you with.

It was a very convenient place to stay, but the beds aren’t comfortable. The rooms are also not very sound proof. Our bathroom was also really gross. There looked like there was blood on the floor and there was garbage in the shower. We don’t spend much time there. Pools nice. Lots of families.

Love the pool waterslide and hot tub. Junior suites are great. Some of the lights were mostly lamps, with many extension cords, including toaster oven in a closet with an extension cord cut through the wall. Electrical to code is a needed improvement. There was also a power bar push against back of a sofa.

Front desk staff were very accomodating, allowing us to check in early, and providing extra room supplies (Garbage bags, soap, playpen, extra sheets and blankets, etc). The room was clean and laid out well but the kitchen light made a weird hum, which was more annoying than anything. We just left the light off any time we weren't in the kitchen. The kiddie pool was a big hit with our kids (1.5 and 3.5) and the hot tub with outdoor feature was nice for the adults. The pool is in a different building but had bathrooms so we could change there rather than running outside in our bathing suits. Parking situation wasn't ideal as the parkade had a height limit of 6'1, which means most trucks are unable to park below ground. They do have above ground parking but it is fairly minimal, so I would recommend using a car or small SUV rather than any larger vehicles (That goes for virtually any hotel in the area). The hotel is easy to get to being right off Highway 1, and is only a 15 minute walk from Canmore Main Street which features restaurants and local shopping. Rocky Mountain Bagel Co is directly across the road and has amazing bagel sandwiches, highly recommend stopping there if you are in the area! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

The property requires an upgrade. Half of the electric outlets in the room were either unserviceable or out of reach. For instance, we had to plug the coffee machine in the washroom and choose between turning on the lamp or the tv screen. There were very strong garbage smells in the shared kitchen and stairways. Also, the reach the pool and fitness room ( which is inaccessible before 0800), one must go outside. And there are no change rooms, only a small washroom near the pool. Not ideal in the winter. On the plus side, the front staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room door did not require a key which was great.

I loved that we had access to the Grande Rockies pool! And it was nice to be able to walk over the The Grande Kitchen or The Georgetown Inn to eat. But I found stains on my sheets and was completely grossed out!!

We travelled in a group and had 3 rooms throughout the buildings. Currently, check-in is 5pm due to staff shortages. Frustrating but we were given access early. First off, there are codes for accessing different areas of the building. Take a cheat sheet... one for your door, one for the building, one for the parkade, a different one for the pool, different building... different code... but thats when they work. Trying to access the pool in the blizzard like conditions was unsuccessful and guest were left walking all the way around the building and accessing the pool through the lobby. Second complaint... hoping to relax and get a good sleep?... we had the heat off and the window open yet our room was 26 degrees the whole time. We could have used more than a couple hours sleep on top of the covers trying to cool off. Third strike... visiting friends on the fourth floor... broken elevator... that should be fun checking out with a family of four and all their luggage. The location of the property is nice. Its walkable to main street and lots of dining options. The pool is great for families although they refilled the hot tub one morning and failed to heat it. The main pool was cold but it was still enjoyable for the kids. Overall, the property is showing its age and is looking a little neglected. Our first and only stay. Would I recommend it to others?... definitely not.

We were checked in before the 5:00 timeline which was nice. It is annoying to have to run across the way to the pool but luckily the weather wasn’t too bad. Comfortable stay. Would stay again.
