What a cute place! Friendly service, clean room, and a comfortable bed. What more could you ask for! They had HBO and Showtime which was nice since it was cold and windy when we arrived.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was huge, and had a separate area for kitchen and dining with all necessary utensils. Overall our stay was very comfortable. It was reasonably priced as well.

We love Burney. The motel only caters to visitors (no locals) which is appreciated. The mattresses feel like they need replacing but everything else is very clean and pleasant! We got the 2 bedroom: perfect for my husband and I with our two kids!

Good location for Lassen and Burney
Great place to stay to be close to Lassen or Burney. 15 mins drive to Burney falls. Do note that the drive here might have no signal since you’re in depth of the woods so if you’re checking in later than 6pm, I would suggest letting the property know. Great place!

Great Comfy Motel
We were in the first room closest to the street so we could hear the cars pass by. But it gets pretty quiet after midnight and even when cars did pass I slept peacefully. And I am a light sleeper so it wasn’t bad. The bathroom was huge. The kitchen a good size. I like that the bathroom and Kitchen had doors. And then all the beds in one big room. We loved it. Perfect place to stay for one night to visit Burney Falls, McCloud Falls, & Lassen National Park. Bring your own Shampoo/Conditioner & soap. We requested extra towels and they were in the room upon check in. Friendly Staff. Great Pizza Place 1min down the street.

Typical older style motel. Room was in good repair. Very small town so make plans about dinner. Not a lot of choices in town and they close early.

The room was quiet and I got some sleep, which was my goal. But there were lots of flies/gnats in the room, could have been cleaner. And the guy at the front desk could work on his friendliness.

We appreciate your feedback, although we do not show a Peter staying here.Not sure about the flies or gnats its cold here this time of year and there is almost none this time of year, we are very glad that they left you alone long enough to get good rest. I will talk to my night clerk in regards to his friendliness.

Roomy and good lighting.I’ve been charged for using credit card fee without telling me about it when checking in. This is 1st time ever being charged for using paying credit card stay in motel/hotel. Good thing is I only stayed for one night!

We appreciate your feedback.In our notice to you when you book thru expedia you will find in the last #7 paragraph it tells you about the credit card fee that we nolonger pay, we are so sorry if it was missed. We have now taken more precautions to make sure our guests are aware.

Not the small town welcome you would think:(
Power went out all morning so we couldn't see anything unless we kept the door open and then we froze bc we had no power to turn the heat on. Couldn't shower bc it was freezing in our room and management and staff didn't think it was something to be concerned about. They gave us a partial refund which was nice but I had to ask for it. I think what was so irritating is never once did anyone apologize, for the inconvenience. I just felt like they didn't care to have my business. When we checked in we weren't given anything like a Wi-Fi password even though they had Wi-Fi and reception in Burney is horrible so hard to communicate with family back home to check in. I try to hard to support these little local businesses but won't do so much anymore bc of our stay in Burney.

Well lets tell the truth here. They had power at time of checkin through the night, the lamps electrical went out in the morning at 9:00 am while they were at breakfast, They did not have to leave the door open they didnt even open the shade for light. They had heat in the room but chose not to use it and hot water but chose not to shower we were able to find the problem and fix it, Wifi is posted inside the room you just have to read. and it is a fact that Wifi and phone service is spotty up here in these mountains but I can not change Frontier service. Shame on you for leaving the room a total mess, this was a total disrespect for the motel. Asking for a refund when you came back from breakfast, at 10:00 am was bold. Yes it was unfortunate that the plug inside the wall came undone, but things like that happen. The customer is not always right and as a customer we rate you 2 out of 10.

Enjoyed our stay
This is a small local motel like the ones I stayed in during my childhood vacations. As such, I really enjoyed the stay. The bed was quite comfortable. The office personnel were helpful. Loved the small frig with separate freezer in the room. We’d definitely stay there again. However if you want a fancy place, then keep on going.

It's an older, family run motel, but everything was clean, and worked well. I especially liked that they had a hiker box (which we didn't use) that hikers could take or leave food items that they needed, or didn't need.
