I arrived after leaving an unsafe domestic abuse situation with an alcoholic, after being awake for 2 days and driving for 3 hours, only to find out I had booked the following night. The front desk staff saw my despair and worked with the Expedia customer service rep to give me the last available handicap room as an exception to the rule. The gal at the front desk came and sat near me as I was on hold with Expedia. The customer service rep at Expedia was exceptionally supportive, helpful, and genuinely from woman to woman, caring. She understood I was unsafe and needed a room and together they made that happen with love, care, and support. It gave me a glimpse of humanity after being berated and abused for many months.
