We had a group of 12 people. The pool was cold, they do not allow any food or drinks in the pool if you had anything in there it was a $50 fine charged to the room. They would not let us use the breakfast room for our group as she rudely said it’s just for breakfast. We were there 2 hours and had to leave. These rules should be posted on the website to eliminate people from waiting their money.

The location of this hotel is a definite plus. Right next to highway 30. The breakfast is very average. The rooms are clean and quiet.

Pleasant Stay
Conveniently located on IA Hwy 30 in Boone. Easy check in, friendly desk staff. Quiet, clean, and spacious king room with the usual furnishings. Unfortunately, for me, the bed was too hard so I couldn’t get comfortable. Typical continental breakfast options. Would stay here again; good value for $$$.

The lady at check in was very nice. The first thing that hit me about the room was the moldy/musty smell from the AC unit. Got that turned off and thankfully the window opened. The pool was a little cold and there was green mold/algae on the bottom in several spots. Facility definitely needs updating.

I would never stay here again. The night shift receptionist is extremely rude and unpleasant to work with. The facilities are outdated and dilapidated in comparison to the photos they choose to share online. The showers are moldy with cracked, peeling caulking. In my opinion, this hotel is overpriced and disgusting. Save yourself and stay somewhere else.

I had reserved 2 nights, but realized we only needed one night. She told me to cancel the 2nd night thru Expedia, but Expedia said it was too late and I’d have to pay for the 2nd night anyway. When I turned in my key the front desk told me they only require 24 hours notice…. So why didn’t she just let me cancel the 2nd night when I asked for it?! I ended up paying for it even though we didn’t stay! Disappointed in both her and Expedia…!

We found so many things dirty, broken, or dysfunctional in the 1st hour that we tried to get our money back & go elsewhere. On top of the room having basic dirt missed by housekeeping, wi fi being snail-slow, the TV having a big scratch & mostly shopping or sports channels, furniture being chipped, & paint missing from walls, we had to use hanger clips to close curtains better to block out light & stop at McDonalds AFTER "breakfast" of dry-looking biscuits & gravy, 3 kids cereal choices, prepackaged boiled eggs, plain donuts, etc. We ONLY stayed because we didn't want to waste $150 .

The rooms were nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the AC. It was nice and cool when we arrived and all afternoon. However at night it got quite warm and it did not work when we adjusted the temperature. The fan did not kick in no matter how low we turned the temp. This happened both nights.

The location was ok. Room was small. Breakfast was mediocre. Bed was horribly saggy. It needed replaced. I told staff upon checkout and he said he would look into it.
