„Der Aufenthalt war sehr gut,nur die Lage des Hotels ist sehr ungünstig,da es sehr weit von London entfernt ist und der letzte Bus schon um 20 Uhr zurückfährt.“

„We stayed for 2 nights in Room 3 which was beautiful, 11th century beams, large sleigh bed, slipper bath, en suite toilet. Clean, comfortable, nice toiletries, kettle and coffee maker, selection of teas etc. Lovely view of village and church. Breakfast delicious, dinner lovely also. Great place to stay. Good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. Felt very luxurious and a real treat. Would happily stay again. “

„Original english: sehr nettes Personal. Verwinkeltes Gebäude, Frühstück, Betten, Bad. Als Paar mit 9 jährigem Sohn: hat sehr gut gepasst für unsere eine Nacht auf der Durchreise. Supermarkt, take aways und Lokale in der Nähe.“

„Zimmer nach vorne sind sehr laut, da direkt an der Straße. Die Fenster sind alt und sehr dünn. Die Zimmer haben ihren Charme. Gut für eine kurze Fahrt nach Milton Keynes/National Bowl (Achtung dort Parken bei einem Konzert kostete 20 Pfund!) Parken im Hotelhinterhof oder auf der Straße möglich“

„Leider lies sich die Heizung im bad nicht abschalten. 3 angestellte informiert. Niemand konnte/wolkte helfen. Ich solle dich eine Email schreiben. Davon wird die heizung auch nicht kältrr sagte ich. Sie wöre auch keine Klempnerin, sagte die angestelkte. Service bempht aber überfordert, tendenz zur unhöflichkeit. Lage gut. Pub ok“

„The staff were really helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the bar, and good food. The flush handle on our toilet was very loose, and we forgot to mention it. Overall, very nice.“

„Gave my card details for three different cards but they didn't work on the system.Luckily the fourth card worked.Their was nothing wrong with any of the cards and if the fourth one didn't work we would not have able to stay even though we had paid the full price in advance“

„We arrived very early in the morning due to flight schedule and quite obviously our was not yet ready. However, we were welcomed very polite and enjoyed some complimentary tea and toast. Very nice and quiet supper in the evening, food was excellent. Had a good night sleep and a wonderful breakfast next morning. We will definitely return“

„Very old building, uneven floors gave it character. Very steep steps up to the accommodation level though. No parking, though I thought there was (I guess I misread the information about this place), nearest parking was just round the corner and cost £8 overnight, i.e. 24 hours. This was recommended by the staff when we arrived, not knowing where to park. Next day I asked at nearby Waitrose about free parking and they helpfully pointed out several on-street free parking marked bays which were ...

„We booked this room as we were going to a restaurant in the next village and rather get a taxi from.home decided to stay more local. The pub which own the rooms is a beautiful country pub, with good food. The rooms are immaculately kept. Clean and fresh. There are tea and coffee facilities in the room. If you need an irion you can request this. Breakfast is not included i the price, however they supply, porridge and breakfast biscuits in the room for you. I would recommend this place to anyone, ...

„This was a lovely overnight spot. Rooms were well appointed with nice amenities. Clean and cozy. Breakfast was good, especially appreciated meal was included. Highly recommend. “

„The accommodation was really very nice, clean and comfortable. My only comment was the breakfast first morning ok but the second morning they had run out if 2 of the cereal choices and also Hash browns. The staff were lovely but I must say I was disappointed that morning as we were leaving to go home and we were unable to enjoy the breakfast that should have been available. “

„staff are very helpful. The food was amazing, but there is a little room for improvement on the accommodation marks on the walls. TV aerial cable draped over light fittings, and personally I would’ve liked blackout curtains as the room was very illuminated from outside lighting. but that said I would definitely stay there again. “
