Welcome to Summit Timber—a spacious three-bedroom log cabin located directly on Summit Boulevard, just a three-minute walk from Snow Summit Resort.



With its warm timber exterior, stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace, hickory kitchen, and tall pines, Summit Timber delivers the classic Big Bear cabin experience. Its exceptional location lets you leave the car behind and walk straight to the lifts. You can even pop home for lunch or a hot-cocoa warmup before heading back to the mountain—without paying slope-side prices.



After the lifts close, gather around the fireplace, play ping-pong or darts in the garage, relax in one of the rocking chairs on the front porch, or unwind among the trees on one of the cabin’s decks. Upstairs, the spacious primary suite provides its own private retreat, complete with a deck and an en-suite bathroom featuring a jetted Jacuzzi tub.



With a king primary suite, queen bedroom, twin-over-full bunk room, 2.5 bathrooms, and a permitted maximum of six guests, Summit Timber is a comfortable home base for families, friends, and guests traveling with pets.



The Space:

From the moment you arrive, Summit Timber feels like a true mountain cabin. The log-style exterior, warm wood tones, multiple decks, and surrounding pines create a classic lodge atmosphere, while the spacious interior gives everyone room to relax.



Living Room

The open living room centers around a dramatic stacked-stone, wood-burning fireplace—the perfect gathering place after a cold day on the mountain. Leather seating, warm wood accents, and windows overlooking the pines add to the cabin’s welcoming feel.



The living room flows into the dining area and kitchen, allowing everyone to cook, eat, and spend time together without feeling separated.



Kitchen and Dining

The well-equipped kitchen features warm hickory cabinetry, ample polished countertops, a gas range, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and the essentials for preparing meals during your stay.



A raised peninsula provides additional seating and serving space for quick breakfasts, après-ski snacks, or a morning coffee spread before walking to the lifts.



The adjoining dining area offers a proper sit-down space for shared meals while remaining open to the kitchen and living room.



Ping-Pong and Darts

For some casual competition, guests will find a ping-pong table and dartboard inside the two-car garage. It’s a fun bonus for evenings at the cabin, rest days, or mountain weather that keeps everyone indoors.



Bedrooms

All three bedrooms are located upstairs.



Primary suite: King bed, ceiling fan, television, and a private deck among the pines. The spacious en-suite bathroom includes a jetted Jacuzzi tub, separate walk-in shower, dual sinks, and wood vanity.



Second bedroom: Queen bed, ceiling fan, warm wood accents, and comfortable mountain-inspired furnishings.



Bunk room: Twin-over-full bunk bed, television, and a cozy cabin feel. It’s a fun sleeping space for children, teenagers, or additional guests.



The cabin’s permitted maximum occupancy is six guests.

Summit Timber has 2.5 bathrooms:

Convenient half bathroom downstairs



Fresh towels and bathroom essentials are provided.



Laundry

A full-size washer and dryer are available in the dedicated downstairs laundry area.



Outdoor Spaces

The covered front porch has two rocking chairs—a comfortable spot for morning coffee, a quiet moment beneath the pines, or unwinding after a day on the mountain.



The cabin also has multiple decks, including a private deck off the primary suite. The fenced yard provides convenient outdoor space for guests traveling with pets. Pets should remain supervised while outdoors.

The Neighborhood:

Summit Timber sits directly on Summit Boulevard—the same road that leads straight to Snow Summit Resort.



The lifts are just a three-minute walk from the cabin, making it easy to avoid resort traffic and parking. Walk to the mountain in the morning, return to the cabin for lunch or a warm break, and head back out whenever you’re ready.



During the warmer months, the same convenient location provides easy access to Snow Summit’s mountain-bike park, scenic chairlift, and nearby hiking trails. The Village, grocery stores, lake activities, restaurants, and Big Bear’s other attractions are generally within a 5–10-minute drive.



Getting Around:

On foot: Snow Summit Resort is a three-minute walk straight down Summit Boulevard. Leave your vehicle at the cabin and walk to the lifts in winter or resort activities during the warmer months.



By car: The cabin provides parking for up to two vehicles. Street parking is not permitted. Most other Big Bear Lake destinations are approximately 5–10 minutes away by car.



Winter travel: Mountain weather and road conditions can change quickly. Caltrans may require tire chains or four-wheel/all-wheel drive during winter storms. Guests should check current conditions and carry chains when required.
