This was our second visit to Bend to attend a concert at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater (an outdoor venue) to hear Mumford and Sons. My wife and I prefer finding cozy, quaint lodgings to stay instead of the often impersonal setting afforded by hotel chains. This private bungalow checked all of our boxes. It was centrally located and is within easy walking distance to grocers, but a car is recommended in order to see sites that are further out. Off-street parking is provided, and a re-charging station is available for those so inclined. Ryan was very attentive to our needs and provided all necessary information for the home as well as suggestions for places to see and eat. The home is well-appointed, and the kitchen has sufficient implements should you wish to cook at home. We elected to make the morning meal but ate out otherwise. We highly recommend Jackalope and Zydeco Kitchen for lunch or dinner. The weather allowed for outside seating, which only enhanced our sumptuous entrees. A supple mattress made for easy sleep at night, and the water pressure for the morning shower was extraordinary. The square footage can easily fit two people, and the house design allows for “alone time” as well. Overall, we were thoroughly pleased to have secured this home for our brief visit. As an aside, a trip to the small town of Sisters will provide stunning vistas of the mountains of North and South Sisters and Mt. Washington and is well worth the 30-minute commute.
