„Tolle Lage, gefühlt, im Dschungel. Daher insbesondere bei Regen mt 2WD etwas schwieriger selbst anzufahren. Mit 4WD unproblematischer oder Hotel kontaktieren. Schöne Anlage mit guten Aktivitäten. “

„This beautifully designed lodge, on 4000 acres, is a unique experience. 107 free range horses, parrots, monkeys add to the ambience. Large , comfortable a/c rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant ,and lovely pool, make for a memorable stay. Convenient to many sites. Owner’s wife is an excellent artist and has a gallery there. We loved it!“

„Das beste Hotelzimmer, das ich je hatte. Mit einem eigenen Standseilbähnchen ging es zur Jungle Lodge hoch. Riesen Zimmer, der reinste Tanzsaal. Und 4 Suiten haben sich einen gemeinsamen Pool geteilt. Gegen Abend konnte man die Brüllaffen hören. Raum 15 war wohl der beste, so mit Abendsonne und Blick über den Urwald. Einzig die Kochkünste könnten sie noch verbessern. Aber zum Frühstück konnte man die Kolibris beim Sirup naschen beobachten. “

„Black rock lodge is the perfect hideaway and a real gem, the location is perfect - right in the jungle, you can hear the howler monkeys roar in the morning and next to the river where you can take an afternoon swim. You can also spot various birds on your own but also on a bird watching tour at sunrise. The activities and tour guides were great, definitely go for ATM and a night hike. Everyone was super lovely and welcoming, accomodation is basic but clean and you have everything that you need. ...

„Das Hotel ist absolut spitze - leider (für uns) an der falschen Lage. Die 75minütige Fahrt dahin war durch den Schlamm nur mit einem 4x4 zu bewältigen. Man meint lange, im falschen Film am falschen Ort zu sein und würde in dieser Wildnis nie ein so tolles Hotel vermuten. War ein total gemütliches Hotel unter deutsch/afrikanischer Leitung, Spitzen-Küche, ruhige Lage, schöner Garten. Kann nur mit Superlativen um mich schmeissen. Aber, man muss sich wirklich der Lage gewusst sein. “

„STAY HERE! The best experience I’ve had at any resort ever. The staff is lovely, the food is fantastic, and the island itself is right out of your wildest dream. At night, there are noises akin to what you’d hear on a ship, or deep in the woods—which may be relaxing to some and annoying go others. Also, the hot water can be an otter finicky.
