„I quite enjoyed my stay at the Mountaineer Inn. I went for Lurch Fest (in August), a fest for Philippi native Ted Cassidy, tv’s original Lurch. I had read reviews before I booked so know that there have been some upgrades. They DO have key cards and shampoo in the bathrooms. I saw some new flooring so it looks like renovations have started. „It was a rustic cabin, it had power, microwave, a good size fridge. Easy to get to, could park right out front. Had use of our own port-a-potty. Walking distance to the creek. Kids loved playing it in. Dog friendly. Owner was very friendly. We happen to come during out of normal hot temps… but at night still very comfortable. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window.
