Areas to Improve for future Guests
One of the bathroom sinks in the master did not drain properly. On the utility cart that was provided, the tags were expired, also the engine kept backfiring and the ignition slot for the key needs repair. It was difficult to get it in and to turn on. Unit had a great view. All in all it was a great place to stay..

Great property
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Bahai Penthouse B45. The unit is very spacious and had everything we needed for 4 adults and a toddler. The condo is well decorated, the kitchen is large and fully stocked, and the views are gorgeous. Thanks for a great stay!

This place is great. The view of the harbor is amazing from both balconies and it is very comfortable inside. Only downside for us was all the stairs. There are stairs to get in the unit and a flight inside. Certainly doable but my arthritic knee was doing a lot of complaining. Nonetheless a beautiful and comfortable clean place with a view. Well done.

My group rented both condos. It was perfect for our stay. The views were amazing, the golf carts were a bonus, but you can really walk anywhere on the island from the condo. Kim was an awesome communicator. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay at Catalina
Beautiful views, clean, stylish and spacious unit with an easy walk to the main boardwalk. We really enjoyed our stay, and felt like we were home. The pool wasn’t working but we didn’t need the pool and we were ok with not having it. The golf cart was a very nice addition, we were able to cruise up the hill for scenic tour. Loved our stay! We had stayed in this property in 2018 experiencing less desirable conditions. Anticipated watching football over holiday weekend only to find no access. Poor internet connection as well. Contacted management and cable company. Unable to resolve problem. Microwave handle broken, grill had not been cleaned, ice machine did not work, etc. and as returning guests did not receive discount. We did enjoy Catalina but very disappointed with vrbo property.

Wonderful getaway with magnificent view
My wife, nanny, newborn, and I were very comfortable in this beautiful, fairly priced, condo. It had plenty of space, nice bathrooms, and magnificent views. The hike up stairs with luggage was worth it. The host was very responsive and accommodating. She instructed us on how to inquire about early check-in, which worked perfectly. The golf cart was also a major bonus and just a few blocks away. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

Although there were lots of stairs and no AC, this was a well-maintained condo with a great layout and amazing views. The fact that it comes with a golf cart was a huge plus and the owners were easy to communicate with and resolved any minor issues to our satisfaction.

Perfect for a family!
The condo was neat and inviting. Perfect for my family of 5. The washer/dryer was a nice amenity to have. Only con is that the elevator is in the back of the complex, so i had to lug a stroller up a few stairs before getting to the elevator. The golf cart wouldn't start and we contacted Catalina Yamaha Golf Cart as instructed by Craig and Kim. Mike came out quickly, towed the cart, fixed the problem (ignition wiring) and had the cart parked back in its stall within a couple hours. I highly recommend using the cart; although, the seat belt is still broken as mentioned in a previous review. All things considered, it was a great stay at the Bahia Vista and I would book this location again.

Fantastic view!
The view made us forget all the stairs, we had to drag our suitcases up, just to get into the unit. The unit had some maintenance issues, and was missing a couple of conveniences, (hangars and an iron) which we let the on island manager know of, immediately. While she said she'd get them to us, we didn't hear back from her again. The golf cart was very nice to have!

Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent. A couple negatives were lack of AC in the 2nd bedroom (although multiple fans were provided) and some general wear and tear.

Great place to stay in Avalon!
This was a really nice 3-;level condo towards the back of Avalon, and it was pretty much the perfect place to stay for our first time on Catalina. The place was clean, it was quiet and out of the way, the beds were comfortable, it had decks and a wonderful view of the harbor. And best of all you get a golf cart included in the rental, which is definitely a must have when you visit Avalon. The price of the unit might seem high, but you can easily save 100-200 dollars on your trip alone just by not having to rent an extra golf cart. So I would say it was quite affordable for what you get overall. Kim was a great host, and we loved her place, and we would love to stay there again if we are ever in Avalon. Thanks Kim!

Perfect Avalon property
This was one of the best VRBOs I’ve ever stayed at! The condo was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we could possibly need! Kim could not have been nicer or more accommodating! I doubt there is a better location in Avalon! We had a perfect view of the harbor but we were located on a nice quiet street. It was a quick walk to everything! Can’t wait to go back!!!

What a beautiful view! The unit was very nice but needed some maintenance. The golf cart assigned to our unit also needed some maintenance. We got a flat on a bald tire. A very nice guy who worked on the island gave us a lift back to the unit from the gas station, The owners were able to let us use the cart from their outer unit. This was my first VRBO rental and I would do it again. We all enjoyed the stay on the island.

FANTASTIC OWNERS
The property has one of the best views on the island and the owners are FANTASTIC communicators and honest I might lose the money I paid booking the reservation and within minutes the owners CALLED ME to say if I MIGHT want to cancel which put my mind at ease IMMEDIATELY. SO GLAD WE WENT!!!! We love the owners and the property, I don't want to say more for fear it might be booked up all the time and we can't get back in...LOL

Golf cart cruising
We loved our stay in Catalina! This particular location allowed us to use their golf cart which was one of our favorite activities! Great space with an amazing view of Avalon! The only hitch for us was the stairs - lots of stairs to get to the condo and then lots of stairs within the condo. - this a bit hard with an eighteen month old who loves going up and down stairs, but who needs constant supervision. But everything else was just perfect! Thank you!

Ashley, Thank you for your review. I had baby gates which somehow disappeared. i will order some today. There are stairs but only groups of 2 or 3 to enter the complex. In the unit which is a split level, there are 7 stairs to living room, seven stairs to the bathroom and again to the bedrooms. I would need baby gates with my own grandchildren. Perfect Home-base for our Family Getaway
Kim Chamberlain and her team have prepared this condo so that guests can feel right at home. The space is ample and luxurious affording everyone in our group their private room. We especially loved family time at dinner as we enjoyed the lovely living room with big screen t.v. and streaming services. My boys truly appreciated having the use of the pool when we came back from our adventures in town. The cart was a great benefit to us as we explored and even took it to Descanso Beach for the day. I highly recommend this condo. The views from the penthouse balconies are impressive and inspiring.

Clean, comfortable condo near town
My family and I made last minute plans to go to Catalina for my birthday and we were so lucky to be able to nab this place for our quick trip. Kim was so accommodating and was able to let us check in a little early before check on time. We arrived and went immediately to the balcony. The view is spectacular! We could see the town from there as well as the gorgeous casino (which is no longer a casino but a movie theater that shows current movies). There are two balconies too. One on the first floor of the condo and the other upstairs outside the master bedroom. The full size kitchen was nice though we didn’t use it during our short trip. Each bedroom had a TV with access to cable and Netflix and other movie streaming services. It was a little hard to figure out how to get the regular channels but we then figured out we had to have the TV source set to AV to get regular cable. We didn’t watch much TV but it was nice to have that ability especially when little ones come along and want to watch their cartoons. Beds were very comfortable as well and the shower in the master was very nice! The second bedroom has it’s own full bath but it’s located at the landing between the first and second floor, which was a little inconvenient especially if you bring little children or an elderly person who would have to navigate the stairs during the night to get to their bathroom. It’s designed this way to give access to visitors as it is the only other bathroom in the condo. The location of the condo was perfect, it’s about a 5 minute walk to town and since there was little traffic at this time of the year, there were not many cars or golf carts. Most people drive golf carts or ride bicycles on the island so it felt very safe crossing streets as we made our way to town. We had the convenience of having a golf cart with our condo and after a little confusion as to where it was and whether we had to check in, we were able to locate it and go on our way. The golf cart is parked in a small parking lot on another street and has a lock box code you have to enter it to get the key. We made the mistake of thinking we had to check in with someone but then I remembered Kim had gotten my information (drivers license, etc...) over the phone. The condo community was quiet and we had no trouble at all sleeping with our windows open at night. There were lots of families with little ones enjoying the swimming pool during the day so families will feel very welcomed here.

It was a girls weekend getaway and we wanted place where we can wind down after a long day of sight seeing, a place with beautiful views where we can sit back and relax. This apartment had everything we were looking for...the views, the space and so many amenities that we weren't able to enjoy everything because of our limited time on the Island. It was a walking distance to get to the location where the golf cart was but I still enjoyed the fact that the apartment came with a golf cart. It provided transportation around the town and made us feel like we were locals!

Perfect Everything!
We really enjoyed this clean, spacious, well-appointed property. It’s a total upgrade from virtually any hotel on the island. A short half-mile walk from the ferry terminal, the uphill grade is gentle and easily managed, even with bags. If you arrive too early to check in, you can store your bags at the terminal and retrieve them later with the golf cart. The property itself is older but very well-kept. There are a few stairs, and of course, an elevator. The unit itself has been completely updated and was perfect for our family of five, including a four-year-old. The view of Catalina is superb. As I get older, I’ve begun to appreciate how much value a breathtaking view adds to vacation lodging! It enhanced every moment we spent there, even at night. The golf cart was a huge plus, though everything is within easy walking distance. Our adult children enjoyed the hot tub and pool, and we cooked every day. The beds are comfortable, and the updated bathrooms have terrific ceiling fans and heaters. I would happily stay here again!

Great Apartment, Amazing view and everything you need!
Very well set out, and attention to almost all details is great. Even Beach Towels, Beach Bag available for use as well as 2 bicycles and a golf cart (Which we didn't even get to use!) The View is really great and the owners/ managers are very accommodating. Our only complaint is white curtains in the smaller bedroom means you require an eyemask to sleep past sunrise but otherwise this is a great rental highly recommend it.
