Top Notch Accommodations

Love everything about this place. The location is perfect, the facilities are clean, communication with the host was pleasant and fast. Stayed here for the Formula 1 race weekend for a dad's only trip and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of space to sleep for a handful of adults, with beds, pull-out couches, air mattresses even, everywhere. I imagine this could be perfect next time I bring my family. Video games and plenty of streaming options on the tv kept us busy in our down time. Enjoyed the multiple balconies, even the more private one connected to the upstairs bedroom. Has a very modern penthouse look and feel to it. No complaints in regards to being across the street from a cemetery, if anything that cemetery is the reason why the view of the Austin downtown skyline is visible, and perfect at night. Being a block away from a convenience store, a liquor store, a bar and a great restaurant called The Sour Duck, as well as directly above a great coffee shop definitely made this location very convenient for our needs during a busy weekend. Brooks, our host was very quick with his response times leading up to the trip, and answered all of our questions. If I had one complaint, it would be that the electronic door to the unit can be a little tricky to unlock and lock, even if you're tech savvy. Would definitely look into booking this unit on any future trips back to Austin. Highly recommend this unit.

DO NOT STAY HERE

This place / host was an absolute disaster. The listing stated the pet fee was seventy five dollars. After approving the request to book and allowing us to check in and get settled in, the host reached out midway through the booking to say that there were hundreds of dollars of additional pet fees that I hadn't paid yet and to send him a Venmo for them ASAP otherwise there was a one hundred dollar late fee per day (though I have documentation that I provided full transparency on the number of pets in the reservation well in advance of check in). I also checked my receipt and it turns out that I paid two hundred and twenty five dollars already and didn't realize. I let him know that venmoing is against VRBO policy and I was not comfortable with this arrangement given that it is different than what the listing stated and against policy, and that I would take this up with VRBO. He proceeded to message and call me over and over throughout our stay which became very disruptive and uncomfortable. After I complained to VRBO for the 3rd time, I came home to find that he changed the locks on the unit while I was away even though we had one more day on the booking. Luckily my friends were still inside and could let me in and we didn't have to leave again until the next day at check out. When I called VRBO to report this retaliation, their advice was to "ignore him" and that they would escalate the issue to their management. I have yet to hear from them and its been over 2.5 weeks. A few other things to note: the main areas of the property are still under construction. The "view" is a giant cemetery and the surrounding area is a little sketchy at best. Not within walking distance of any major trendy areas. None of the information provided through any of the automated check in emails is correct for any of the door codes (there are 3 separate codes you need for the property), the parking spots, etc. and the host never responded to my questions for the correct information. He only messaged me asking me to Venmo him more money against policy. I would never recommend staying here to anyone.

A lot to love, a little to not

We had a great time visiting friends for Memorial Day weekend 2021 at this place. The place was spotless and very well decorated. Plenty of room for our group. The owners offered to bring us mimosa morning service with a yogurt parfait bar and fresh fruit. Very nice touch if you are willing to pay the fee. They also stocked the fridge for us before we arrived. Now there were a few downsides. The upstairs shower would not drain, so that left us with one useable shower. I think it’s important to tell you that there are no shades or blinds or curtains in the living area and there are massive windows visible to the street throughout. You will not have privacy in the main living space. Not a big deal for us but we were surprised a little by the lack of that detail. And lastly, though our group did not care, you should know that it does sit across the street from a very large and old cemetery. Your living space view will be entirely of that cemetery. Honestly a cool view for us but I imagine some people may be disconcerted. Overall I would say the highlights of this place were the excellent communication and service from the owners, tidiness of the space, and location to anything you’d want in Austin. Would recommend.

This is brand new construction and the place is nice. If you are looking to be close to the action but also a nice place to get away and relax. This is a great place. The night downtown skyline view is pretty awesome.

Nightmare vacation - ruined by this place

Arrived and immediately noted the amazing view....well it is a large cemetery. I instantly thought, I will definitely not be relaxing on the patio while people are literally placing flowers on graves and mourning their lost ones. As for the kids, they were freaked out for sure. Red flag #1: we noted several gates and doors to the property propped open with boxes. Red flag #2: we were given the code and entered a unit that was clearly occupied. It was dirty and had people's belongings in it. We quickly exited before risking getting shot as we intruded into someone else's unit. Red flag #3:We called and were told the same exact code opens the next unmarked unit. We walked in and noted dirt on the floors, dust everywhere and dirty toilets. Every beautiful window was surrounded by views of the graves. We go to the "rooftop patio" and it was basically a storage. There was no pool table or foosball table as advertised. There were no restaurants below the unit as advertised. We left for about one hour to grab dinner. Red flag #4: we returned to a deadbolt locked stairway to our unit. We were stuck outside in the cold night, our kids were crying, and our dog was stuck (kenneled) in the unit. We called again, and the owner did not have any knowledge of a deadbolt. We were extremely concerned as someone was clearly locked IN with access to the units (our unit with all of our stuff and dog!). As stated before, we easily accessed someone else's unit, luckily we didn't get shot. Furthermore, the owner stated that several contractors had access to everything. Throughout this whole ordeal we had tried and tried to request a changed code as we were unable to lock the unit for our safety. When the owner finally learned how to open the property we grabbed our belongings (leaving behind several) and risked traveling hours home in the middle of the night with our family rather than stay a single night here. We paid way too much money to have such a horrible experience and be treated this way. We lost our vacation and all of our plans to enjoy Austin. This place ruined our vacation. We frequent VRBO's and this is a first!

Perfect location. Amazing Host & Space!!

Host was so hospitable and easy to contact with any added questions! The space was absolutely breathtaking! Spacious yet comfortable and, so clean! The roof top balcony was a favorite spot of mine! The coffee shop downstairs was convenient and great tasting! It wasn’t difficult at all for DoorDash or Uber drivers to find us as well so that’s always a plus! Overall, the perfect space for a great weekend!
