The property itself is quite lovely. All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant. The problems began when we got up to our room. The bathroom door was completely missing the mechanism that latches into the doorframe so that you can actually close the door. The refrigerator had a really gross rust colored dripping stain in it and smelled rotten. There were two spoons for cutlery and like a plate and a bowl. Someone else's socks were in the dryer. There was no laundry detergent for the washer, no dish soap to do any dishes, and no paper towels or napkins to dry any dishes or eat with. The living room furniture is not very comfortable. The beds were fine, luckily. There is an enormous walk-in closet in the larger bedroom that has a full-length mirror in it.
We spoke with the front desk about the smelly fridge and the broken bathroom door. Someone from engineering came up and said they would go see if they had a part for the door and if not, they'd get back in touch with us the following day. Someone from housekeeping cleaned the fridge, but after that we realized it wasn't even cooling so we still couldn't use it. I reported this as well and someone wheeled up a mini fridge to our dining room which did work and did not stink. Unfortunately no one ever did anything about the bathroom door. If I had been traveling with my partner I would have been okay with it, but I was with a friend and we were both very uncomfortable knowing we couldn't latch it.
