Not for everyone
Property owner is gracious and wants you to enjoy your stay. However, the property is probably more suitable for students or younger folks. It is clean but dated and very small. If you are accustomed to certain standards as far as comfort, quality, and convenience you might be disappointed. In addition, there is 20 steps up to deal with so if you’ve had knee issues beware.

My husband and I were in town for a Georgia game and really enjoyed our stay at the Cardinal Roost. The host communicated clearly and the place was perfect. Also within walking distance to several Athens favorites. Will definitely stay again when in town!

Location is amazing. Space is perfect for two people. Everything about the stay was easy. Quiet neighborhood. Apartment was well equipped. Host is easy to communicate with. He has everything you need written in a book which was very helpful. (TV, heating, air conditioning controls. Clear check out instructions, where to eat, things to do) Highly recommend. The location is perfect for walking into downtown Athens, and I felt perfectly safe doing so. The neighborhood and home are beautiful. The property had everything I could possibly need and was comfortable. The host provided great reference material on the town which insured I could find the best restaurants and places to visit. Perfect stay in Normaltown!
I can only say that I truly enjoyed my stay at the property. It was perfect. Comfortably outfitted, simplicity for one guest in the heart of an amazing neighborhood! My hots were kind and genuinely happy for my visit at their home and their other tenant was just a nice. I highly recommend their rental to anyone who’s wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but be.a stones throw away!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cardinals Roost. The neighborhood was beautiful, so many friendly people, and so close to restaurants. Our host Jason was very helpful, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definately stay here on our next trip to Athens!! GREAT little place to stay in Athens!
This apartment is perfect for one or two people. It's location is excellent in that you are not far at all from where all the action is. Walking on the Nature trails at the Nature Center & on the different trails at the Athens Botanical Gardens was absolutely wonderful! And Jason could not have been more accommodating; I would highly recommend staying here!

Another fun game weekend ! We strolled down Boulevard to Heorloom Cafe’ for breakfast , walked to Sanford Stadium for football Game , and walked to Seabear Restaurant for delicious seafood . The apartment is vintage with 2 rooms to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the apartment beer and snacks were a welcome addition.Thanks Jason and Meisha for your hospitality.

Cozy and comfortable place to stay in Athens
I recently stayed at the Cardinals Roost for a week while attending a conference at Georgia Center. Jason and Misha were very considerate hosts and made sure that I had everything I needed for the week, including snacks of my choice when I arrived. The apartment was the perfect size and very comfortable. The apartment is in the Historic Boulevard District and is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. Downtown Athens is about 5 minutes away by car or 20 minutes on foot if you like to walk through great neighborhoods with beautiful old homes. I'd highly recommend staying here!

This great little efficiency apartment was exactly the right fit for an Athens weekend! The owners were very friendly and responsive -- we even got homemade cookies and snacks on our arrival! The apartment was very clean and comfortable with easy on-street parking. The neighborhood location gives easy access to the UGA campus and downtown Athens. Would definitely stay here again!
