We booked 2 rooms for our family of five for 6 days. Unfortunately we ended up having to spend most of our time in one room as the second room smelled of sewage the entire time. We let staff know several times from the onset. Their resolution was to clean the bathroom but it continued to smell after the bleach and chemical smells subsided. The manager, Georgia, offered to change our room the day before we were leaving however we were visiting an island that day.
The day of checkout, I tried to discuss the issue with the manager however she was very unprofessional and even placed blame on us for the smell,was very defensive and made the experience very negative due to her lack of client service skills.We were insulted and could not believe she could talk to paying customers like that. We could not stand to use the toilet or shower in our room because of the horrible smell. Although we kept the bathroom door closed, the entire room still smelled. The front staff were using gloves, checking the shower drain to try to figure out where the smell was coming from. We had to shower and use the toilet in the second room. An apology or even recognizing this issue would have suffice but the lack of professionalism and client service skills from the manager made the experience must worse. We did not pay to have this type of experience . Itâs unfortunate because the other staff ( cleaning, front desk, kitchen) were kind. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I stay here again.
