Such beauty, nature and relaxation are hard to come by so close to NYC. The property is all that is portrayed in the photos and more. We were 4 in a waterfront 2 bedroom cottage and found it adequately spacious and comfortable in every way.
I took to sleeping on the screened porch which was totally delightful The breezes, the views, the early morning day break, swans and wildlife mesmerized me. And then there is the possibility of kayaking or canoeing in the bay---not to be missed.
The cottages have everything you need but, if you need something else, Sandy and John bring it almost before you think it. They are charming and friendly with much pride in providing a great experience for their guests.
Almost everyone staying at the Reeve cottages had a feline or canine family member and that added to the fun and low-key atmosphere of the property.
The flowers are gorgeous! Everything here exudes care in every respect. I thought about buying sunflowers for the cottage when I arrived and then thought the better of it......I could see lovely flowers through every window.
North Shore beaches are minutes away but the ocean beach in Hampton Bays is just a short drive with little traffic, Fresh vegetable stands abound as do vineyards. All in all, this is a great location and choice for getting away from it all and rediscovering tranquility and beauty. We hope to return again soon.
