Pleasant Stay in a quiet Neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay and I was very happy with the communication from our VRBO Host. The location is a bit more residential and several miles from downtown Anchorage. There is parking provided but we used the bus (which was about a half mile walk). Not much to look at outside but inside it was clean with lots of modern features including 3 Big Screen TVs, Remote Control Fans/Lights in the bedroom, a combo nighlight fan in the bathroom. The bed we had was soft and super comfortable and I slept better than I do t home. The refrigerator is large with an ice maker. There were plenty of dishes and a dishwasher to clean them. We were able to use the free laundry facilities in the utility room next door. There was a faint smell of smoke the 1st couple days when we first walked in but that disappeared after getting used to it (so it wasn't real strong) and it was no longer noticeable by our third day (I am guessing previous guests broke the rules). The shower has the option to get sprayed from two ways and has a unique rock drain pan. If you have a car or are willing to walk the .45 miles to the #10 bus stop this is a nice comfortable place to stay. There was a traditional coffee make and a Kuerig.

This house is in an excellent location. It's near many stores and a beautiful lake. Quite. Clean. Easy check-in and check-out. Easy to communicate with owner. Beds were comfortable. TV is Roku. Wifi worked well. There were pans but not a lot of pots for cooking. This was not an issue for us because we didn't do much cooking. We had access to a washer and dryer near by which helped. We would stay here again.

Close to Medical Centers
The owner was very helpful with quick responses to questions. The location was very close to ANMC and Providence. The updated kitchen and shower were nice. TV and online viewing worked well. The biggest negative was that all of the throw rugs were dirty and stained. I rolled them up and moved them out of the way. The towels were adequate but were well used and some had bleach stains. (I suggest updating all towels and rugs). There were no instructions on programming the thermostat and depending on the weather, I was cold and then hot (despite my attempts to set it). As an older female, I struggled to get my large suitcase from car to unit and back over the gravel driveway. Reserved off street parking was a benefit. Outdoor lighting was very good and area seemed safe and was quiet. Overall, unit was adequate but the dirty, stained rugs cast a negative pall on my stay.

Birthday Celebration
We have stayed at this property last summer. This place is quiet, easy access, and we enjoy the walking path nearby. It was easy to find, clean, comfortable beds, with dual shower head in the shower is a nice addition. We would recommend this cozy spot for a nice way to relax while taking in the sights around the area for a birthday celebration or any occasion.

Great home base for our Alaska adventure! Close to JBER!
Home was clean, Gary (host) was very accessible and helped make our stay enjoyable! Location was central to downtown, northern points and Seward Highway. Walmart 4 min away too. Close to JBER which was also important for us! Ample bedding/towels, stocked kitchen, clean and updated bathroom. Overall very comfy. One note: we could not locate the switch to turn off the sun at night anywhere in the house! :-) We would stay here again.

Don’t let the location deceive you
The property is located in a residential area and from the outside looks like apartments. Once you open the door and step inside you are transformed into a luxury space. All rooms have been upgraded and are spacious. The only negative comment would be the need for darker window coverings in the bedroom with the patio door. Otherwise everything was great. I would definitely recommend and church sided staying here again

Other than an executive condo.
Lacked proper smoke detectors. Contacted owner on check in but he did not fix the issue until after we left 12 days later. Beds saggy and uncomfortable. Bathroom not clean, garbage in shower. No idea or instructions for location of washer/dryer and garbage receptacle. Quiet unit. Part of a triplex with pictured lake 3-4 blocks away. Back deck and BBQ is actually off a bedroom. Others, unmarked food left in refrigerator, freezer and shelves. - owner says renters like that?? Will not return.

Over the last 4 years we have worked hard to maintain a 5 star rating. On this occasion we missed the mark! We had a smoke detector with a failed battery, (1 of 4 in the unit). One in each bedroom, one in the hallway, one in the living room. The renter's husband was a retired Fire Chief and we were immediately in the Dog House. I could not respond as I was on the Canadian Border with out cell signal so i drove many miles to send a text message giving the renters my wife's number to call for immediate assistance, but they never called her. This review was written with malice.

Or stay here was great. There was a small hiccup upon check-in but owner had it fixed within minutes. It was very clean and well kept. The beds were very cozy and comfortable to sleep in. The shower was awesome boasting a rainforest shower head (and a normal one too if that's not your thing) and Bluetooth speaker. It was fully stocked with pots/pans/utensils/spices/coffee/etc. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it.

Nice little get away
