At Horsepower Hangout of Kentucky, you will have loads of fun and experience southern hospitality at it's finest, in a relaxing, peaceful, spacious, safe, family-friendly location. The home sits on 1.3 acres with 30 mature trees. It's a great place to sit by the fire pit, relax in a hammock, and unwind on the front-porch swings. Close to local attractions like The National Corvette Museum (12 miles away), Mammoth Cave National Park (38 miles away), and Beech Bend Raceway (17 miles away)! The two-car garage is a safe-haven for your hot rods and motorcycles. Enjoy a full kitchen and a recreation room for hours of entertainment! Great for traveling families, couples, and groups.

Our mission and vision at “Horsepower Hangout of Kentucky” include “enjoying life” by eating, drinking, gathering with family/friends, and working with excellence. Life is short, so our mission is to enjoy our blessings every day and our vision is to share them with others (and that includes you)!

Throughout the home and property, you will experience a horse theme upstairs and a Corvette/Hot Rod theme downstairs. We chose our name and logo by combining our state’s equine industry (horseshoe) with the modern-day use of the term “horsepower” used by car and motorcycle enthusiasts (checkered flags).

*FYI, the home has steps for entry and exit; therefore, it is not wheelchair accessible. We apologize if this is a hindrance to your ability to book this location.

*FYI, depending on the size of guests who stay, and their preferred sleeping arrangements, if the maximum number of occupants (8) are residing in the home, one or two guests may need to sleep on either the living room couch or a queen-size air mattress. Currently, we have 3 private bedrooms with:

Pick this one! From Lake Tahoe to Vermont, it’s the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! This place and this host deserves 10 stars!The home is immaculate. Beds are super comfortable. Decor creates a very cozy, welcoming place. After an 11 hour drive from Dallas, we arrived with lights on, mini “fireplace” lit, calming music playing throughout the house, and a personalized welcome board on the stunning front porch. Crista has thought of it all for making your stay easy and comfortable. Did you forget shaving cream, nail file, or a hair tie? She’s got you covered. Would you like slippers for the house, an eye mask or sound machine for comfort? She’s got you covered. Do you need a baby bib, toddler playroom or teen entertainment? Covered. Do you need a kitchen for baking cookies and making Christmas dinner? Covered. Crista is intentional about every single detail throughout the entire home and has put so much effort into ensuring a wonderful stay! And the Horsepower Hangout theme is so fun!Our family is very grateful for a wonderful Christmas at this wonderful place!

The house was very well set up. Everything was labeled very clearly and everything seemed to be very clean. The kids really enjoyed all the games that were offered and playing in the basement a lot. The outdoor space was nice too, but lots of bugs in the evening. It was neat to see a horse next door and some chickens and a donkey. This host has provided a lot of little extras to make the space very welcoming. Our only complaint was the lack of accuracy in the listing for spaces offered which I believe has been changed already at our feedback. It has 3 small bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom and a second bathroom in the hall. There is a two person bed in each room and one rollaway twin offered if needed. There is also an air mattress available but not much space to put it other than the entire living room. Comfortable bedding, etc, but very firm beds. It was very clean, but being near woods we saw several bugs that got in - spider on the bed, beetle in living room, a ladybug, and a couple millipedes and spiders in the basement. It is obviously very clean and bug free overall though.

Happy Weekend Reunion

I have stayed at several airbnb and vrbo and this one was the best. The house was clean and in excellent condition. Bathrooms were well supplied. The owner communicated several times to make sure we were satisfied. The neighborhood was very nice and it was close to the main shopping areas. The beautiful front porch was so peaceful to sit and relax. The decor was perfect and you felt like a welcome guest. Everything was labeled and easy to find. I would give this experience an A.

Wonderful stay in a great location!

Absolutely loved our week-long stay. The house is so comfortable and has everything you could possibly need (I can’t believe you provided shower caps - absolute lifesaver!!) Crista is a brilliant host - excellent communication and you can tell how much love, care, and attention she has put into this home. The location is perfect - just a short drive from Mammoth Cave and Nashville, and all the amenities to enjoy a relaxing evening. We absolutely loved the fire-pit, and the kids loved all the board games and karaoke - this place has everything you need, and then some. Thank you for a wonderful spring break - we’d happily recommend this place to family and friends, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. 5 stars, across the board!!

Best VRBO Experience To Date

We had a such a wonderful experience at Horsepower Hangout. The home was exactly as described and better than we expected. It was beautifully decorated - Chip and Joanna would be proud! One of the things that we liked best was that all drawers in the kitchen and throughout the house were labeled so you knew exactly where things were located. There were little touches throughout, including waters in the fridge, noise makers in all the rooms (not needed since it is a secluded location) and high-quality TP and shampoos in the bathrooms. Communication was Crista was excellent. She quickly responded to our questions, accommodated an early check-in and was flexible to allow for more than one dog. When we realized that a few kitchen items we needed to prepare for Christmas dinner weren't included, she came by to drop off those specific items and a bouquet of flowers within 15 minutes. Wow! We would highly recommend this property and we look forward to staying again the next time we're visiting BG to see family.

Such a lovely home

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The home is just perfect, and Crista is the most amazing host. No detail was missed throughout the home—in fact, she thought of things you might need even before you knew you needed them! Plenty of space, the beds were super comfortable (so comfortable I had to find out what sheets were on our bed so I could buy them for myself!). The outdoor space is also fantastic—the large front porch with swings, pillows, and blankets, and the awesome fire pit with surrounding adirondack chairs made for a lovely Saturday afternoon with cocktails. The Fall colors at their best too. It felt like we were a million miles away from it all, even though we were so close to Bowling Green. I highly recommend this property!

Amazing stay in beautiful scenery

Our hosts were amazing and super responsive. We booked an extra couple of weeks because we loved it so much! The house everything you could ask for for hosting dinner and just relaxing and reading on the porch or in the sunroom. We sat around the firepit a couple of nights and it was just perfect.

Family getaway

The minute we arrived at the house we knew we had found the ideal house. It offered something for all of us with outdoor spaces and the game room. It was a haven for the kids including the big kids. Everything about our trip was amazing! The house had everything we needed and wanted. Perfect location for the wedding at Cason’s Cove. Best place I have ever stayed on vacation!!

This house is awesome! It was so nice and warm feeling just like home. You don’t have to worry about if you forgot something or something for the kids to do. We took our whole family dogs included. From the time you walk in you will be amazed. Everything is labeled meticulously. So no guess where anything is. Everything you could think of is there. Have never stayed any where that had a 2 car garage to park. There was plenty of games and toys for all the kids. The beds was super comfortable. If you are in the bowling green area and ain’t stay here it’s your loss! The owner Crista was super nice and communicated very quickly. As I said best rental I have ever experienced hands down!!

Our stay at Horsepower Hideaway was awesome! Our teenagers were on Spring Break, so we took advantage of the convenient location to accommodate our visits to Mammoth Cave National Park and the Corvette Museum. We had a blast after our days exploring playing foosball, ping pong , and basketball. Definitely fun for everyone! Highly recommended!!!

The house is absolutely amazing! Couldn't be more perfect for a guest! I was in town for my daughter's wedding and it was so good to have this house to stay in for the evening before the wedding. Family time, Fall leaves and Mammoth Cave

We used this lovely home as a base for a 2-night getaway to explore Mammoth Cave (around a 45-minute drive away). In all the years we have been renting homes, there has never been one as well stocked as this one. The owners have thought of everything. The home is clean, cozy and filled with gems in each room. My favorite place was the front porch, and we all loved the games in the basement and garage. We brought our dog with us as well and he loved all the space outside to run around. All the messages received from Crista show how much the owners truly want you to enjoy their home. We were all sad to leave. Thanks so much for everything!
