A Piece of Paradise

The Condo is centrally located in Half Moon Bay. It’s great for walking to restaurants. The seaweed was rough but it didn’t take away the beauty of the beach and water. We highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Beautiful half moon bay

This was a great place to stay. There were several restaurants within walking distance. It was beautiful to snorkel right out in front of our condo. We were able to walk to the Akumal bay and snorkel with the turtles. We also walked to Yal-ku Lagoon to snorkel. We did not rent a car.

Perfect!!

This was an absolutely perfect spot to do a girls trip! Location was great and very safe. Condo was very clean and had all the kitchen utensils we needed. Nearby restaurant - La Buena Vida - was great: good food, walking distance, fun!! Our host Susana gave us a ton of great information prior to our arrival which was SO helpful. We would definitely come here again when visiting Mexico!!

Home away from home

This place us a hidden gem. Located within a gated community, so it was very safe. The property was very clean, and well maintained. Susana was very prompt in her responses and even suggested us places we can visit. The kitchen is full equipped with all the cookwares and cutlery. The view from the primary bed and the living room was to die for. The area is very quiet, so if you are looking for some serenity, this is ur place. The house was cleaned everyday. The only drawback in the building was that the unit is in the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of service during our stay. The one day they fixed it and we got into it, we got stuck in the elevator for almost 20mins. Other than that, the overall experience was amazing, the pool was nice, they had snorkelling gears and and kayaks.

Mixed Experience with Great Amenities but Communication Issues

My family and I recently stayed at this condo and had a mixed experience. The property itself was beautiful and well-equipped, as described in the listing. The amenities were top-notch, including a lovely pool and stunning scenery on the beach. We particularly enjoyed the three kayaks provided for guests, which added a lot of fun to our stay. The daily cleaning service was also a great addition, keeping the house in perfect condition throughout our visit. However, we faced significant communication issues during our stay. The contact numbers provided ( including management office which was closed)were unreachable, which became a major problem when the water was cut off and making bathrooms inoperable. A big challenged with kids. Fortunately by the morning it was fixed, but this lack of communication was very frustrating, especially in an emergency situation. Additionally, the internet was down due to a recent hurricane, which we understand is beyond anyone's control, but it added to our difficulties. One of the other challenges we also faced was the elevator stopping working. With a three-story house, carrying our luggage up and down was inconvenient and tiring. Overall, while the house itself, location and the amenities were excellent and as described, the issues with communication and essential services made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. Improvements in these areas would make this a perfect vacation spot.

Deluxe Beachfront Penthouse in Akumal

Susana's place was great and as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay. We had the 3rd floor 2 bd and the sunsets and sunrise from the master bedroom and patios was spectacular. Beachfront and nothing better when youre on vacation than the sound of waves to calmly put you to sleep at night. Susana had a little book of information about the area and recommendations and we really appreciated this and used it as a guide. Thank you Susana for a great stay and for being responsive to all requests and attentive to all our communications. We cant wait to come back to Tulum. Great place..5 Stars!!!

Amazing!

My husband and I stayed for three wonderful nights. The condo was well-equipped. Although we did not really cook, it appeared to have everything needed should you choose to cook. The water supply and ability to make ice was a definite plus. We also appreciated the variety of games. The seaweed was expected, but not a problem for us. The water shoes that were supplied made it easy to get passed it and over the rocks to enjoy the beautiful clear water! Although a bit snug for my husband's size 10.5 (US) feet, he managed. We love the sun, but the umbrella was large enough to provide shade for both of when needed. The small market directly behind the condo was perfectly situated. They have all the essentials--alcohol (liquor, beer), snacks, personal care items, oh, and those water shoes if you need a larger size. We enjoyed every restaurant that walked to, and they were all a little different. Lol-ha, La Lunita, La Buena Vida were all water front. We stumbled across AK Restaurant and had happy hour drinks, which I would also recommend. Overall, we loved the space, the location and the sounds of the waves crashing in as we slept!

Amazing location and view!

This place was great. We really enjoyed the balcony. There was too much sea grass to use the beach but the view was amazing! We used the pools and they were perfect and not crowded at all. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the daily maid service. The location was perfect as there were so many things to do in the area. Great restaurants and activities. Snorkeling in the lagoon is a must! If we ever go back to this area we would stay here again!

Beatiful spot on the bay

We had a wonderful experience at this property. It's in a beautiful spot in the center of the bay with magnificent views and one of the few places where there is sand on the beach directly in front of the condo. It's new, modern and immaculate. The location is excellent and I highly recommend taking advantage of snorkeling in the lagoon 10 minute walk away and the turtle bay at the entrance of the bay. The restaurant buena vida is fabulous and is a 3 minute walk and there's a market across the street. The place can't be more convenient. An added plus is that the second bedroom is actually very nice and comfortable (not always the case) with a nice master bath in there as well. I would very highly recommend this place if you would like to enjoy Akumal. The owner was very responsive and the property manager is available at anytime with questions. Fantastic property!

Beautiful Property, Great Location, Spectacular Ocean and Jungle Views

This condo is awesome! Tremendous location at mid point of Halfmoon Bay with spectacular ocean views of the entire bay. We spent lots of time out on the private and well furnished large 3rd floor balcony. The owner, Susana, is very helpful and treated us fairly regarding a Covid lockdown cancelation. Nice 3 Weeks in Akumal

We read reviews expressly looking to gather information from guests, and not just the owner. We often times make a decision to rent or not based on user reviews, therefore we try to be positive and honest about our experience. Our 2nd visit to Akumal Stayed for 3 weeks PROS: Good restaurants within walking distance Fun shops nearby Easy drive to most other destinations No large resorts so uncrowded beaches Friendly people Safe Yal-Ku Lagoon for snorkling Condo is steps from the beach although it is fairly rocky so beach shoes are helpful Has fabulous views overlooking Half Moon Bay A generous sized balcony overlooking the pool and Bay It’s new and clean Comfortable beds Good swimming pool Conscientious staff. Owner very responsive to any issues CONS: Elevator was broken for almost 3 days after we arrived which is an issue if you have any mobility problems. It worked fine after it got repaired. The one beach umbrella for the entire condo complex broke during our first week and wasn’t replaced. No dressers in either bedroom except for 2 small drawers in each closet. Water issues with the “on-demand” water heater. No hot water for dishes. There was one hot pad and no trivets for hot pans. We couldn’t get the oven lit. One of the other residents explained how to use it. Written instructions would have been helpful. A small kitchen with an awkward layout. Maybe not an issue for a one week stay but annoying for 3 weeks. Only lots of bright overhead lighting in the main living area. We moved one of the master bedroom lamps to the dining area buffet so that it was cozier during the evening for dinner and movie watching. No clock or emergency flashlight. We left behind a beach umbrella, pool toys, and a measuring cup. I wanted to make mac and cheese for our granddaughter and there wasn’t a measuring cup or anything for draining the noodles. These are small things that can be easily rectified.

Great top floor apartment with great views over the bay.

I had a great time at Susana's place. Brand new condo exceeded my expectations. Susana was an excellent, very responsive host. I would definitely book again. Wall to wall glass windows in living room and master bedroom allow you to take in the great views of the bay. The elevator was not operational during my stay so recommend varifying with host on status if mobility is an issue. Other than that, condo has everything you need for a great stay in Half Moon Bay.
