„Made to feel very welcome and hotel kindly arranged a late check-in without fuss. The room was comfy and clean and the breakfast first class. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a super location on the bridge with views of the river and just a short walk to shops and amenities. Very friendly - will always go back when visiting Thetford area.“

„Beautiful quiet location, Plenty of space outside on the patio and also inside . Staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was very good with an over fill carpark. Food was very good and breakfast was good value and very nice, If anything, the bedrooms were a little on the small side and rooms need a bit of freshening up. All in All we were very happy with our stay and would certainly go again,“
„Lots of gangs of kids hanging around, and not a safe feeling area. Property lacked basic things that you’d expect in a hotel. No one on site to contact to rectify things. Not a good place to stay. “
„After returning to the area after 16 years, we chose this hotel for the personal touch over other chain options. The hotel's staff was amazing and accomodating. They provided great service and every meal was delicious. The Thomas Paine Museum was of special interest and full of information for this history buff. We cant wait to book our next trip.“
„Both the chord for the window blind and the light in the bathroom had snapped off. You had to be a least 5 foot tall to turn it on. I had to pull the bed out to plug my bedside lamp in. There were not enough electrical points in the room.
They were not doing breakfasts either which was disappointing. The overall appearance would be described as tatty especially the bathroom with tatty paint work on the door surrounds and radiator.
The shower was good the beds clean and the towels were fresh.“

"Very tastefully decorated room with crafted warm wood & muted colors. Comfortable armchair. Very clean bathroom with decent water pressure. The bar was a highlight as well, lovely traditional vibe with very comfortable seating & great views. Accomplished next-level drinks & outstanding cream tea with enough clotted cream (somehow places never serve enough) & truly excellent scones. They’re a national staple but good ones are so hard to find. "
"During the last leg of our vacation, we stayed at a hotel in Cambridge for one night. Having previously experienced a range of accommodations, including an Airbnb in Cambridge, an apartment hotel, and a large hotel in London, this particular hotel stood out as a pleasant surprise, especially considering it was not as pricey as the others.
The bed was notably comfortable, and the breakfast provided was a highlight of our stay. We were treated to a proper English breakfast, which was quite wonderful. The bathroom and shower were both clean and of a good size. The hotel also had effective air conditioning, although we didn't need it much as the weather was mild.
The staff were quite friendly, which was particularly reassuring given some warnings from locals about potential unfriendly encounters due to the changing political climate. However, we found the staff to be very kind and they treated my son with exceptional sweetness and respect – a factor that always makes a big difference to me.
I would recommend this hotel, especially to other foreign-looking travelers, for a comfortable and welcoming experience. "
"The location and service are great. We had trouble with the shower turning cold, however when we told the staff they were very friendly and said they’d take care of it. It’s a nice hotel but a lot of the decoration choices are made to look nice rather than be nice so it looks better in pictures than is. "
