Der Walfänger!
Der Whaler überblickt den Center Courtyard in Tower II und bietet einen fantastischen Panoramablick auf den Ozean. Travel Channel, Blackrock Reef und die Inseln Molokai und Lanai haben ihn zu einem der 10 besten Strände der Welt gewählt. Das Hotel liegt gegenüber den beiden Meisterschaftsgolfplätzen von Royal Kaanapali und nur wenige Schritte von den weißen Sandstränden und dem klaren blauen Wasser entfernt. Die Unterkunft ist komplett möbliert und verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im Erdgeschoss und bietet Zugang zum Strand und Pool, die nur durch die Hintertür zugänglich sind. Black Rock (sehr beliebt zum Schnorcheln) ist zu Fuß erreichbar, ebenso wie alle Hotels und Restaurants auf dem Strip.

We rented this for our daughter's family with one 20 month old son. The unit is so great as it opens out to a large patio with direct access to the grass courtyard area and then on to the pool and beach. Very accessible and flexible. Even with the ground floor location, there are great views to the ocean. They (and we), enjoyed having breakfast on the patio. The unit has been upgraded from original construction and is in great condition. The fold out couch gave great optionality with there family. A much appreciated bonus was the included "pack and play". Also available which was great was the boogie boards, noodles and beach chairs. The Whaler also has very easy access to local shopping and restaurants at the adjacent Whaler's Village. The host was very responsive and communicative as was the on site staff. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Perfect location

Pristine grounds, site events were welcoming to guests and much appreciated. Unit could use some wear and tear updates but perfectly comfortable and its first floor walk out access to grounds and view were great. Would definitely select Whaler's condos again

Location, Location, Location

We loved this rental! The win for us was LOCATION. Easy access to Whaler's Village, snorkeling at Black Rock, the beach, walking to meals & Hula Pie, and the first floor unit made it so easy to get around. No elevators!If you read some of the other reviews, could the unit use a little updating? Perhaps. But did we mention the great location? Owners were very responsive. Beach chairs & umbrellas come with the unit plus a working ice-maker (rare these days). The one thing we overlooked is that there was not a washer/dryer in the room but the laundry down the hall was easy to use.

We just got back from a week at the whaler in this unit Pros of unit : Very nice unit ,decor is really nice ,very clean and open unit ,location is middle of Kaanapali and unit is ground floor and has all the amenities we needed ,walk to Whaler village lots of shops ,food and ABC store really nice unit and staff of Whaler are great very nice folks and the grounds are gorgeous, easy parking for rental car ,very close to beach Cons: You better learn the rules of the whaler there is a group of people who either live there or are long time/term residents of the "Older" generation and they are not nice and after over hearing multiple conversation with these folks they "hate" short term rental folks like ourselves it made it very uncomfortable and these folks were not friendly or nice That said we learned to avoid them i will say there is a very diffrent vibe in Maui especially in the Kaanapali area as there is a huge push to eliminate short term rentals like this unit its an unfortunate situation and Maui and the people of Maui either want tourists or they dont We loved this unit and the whaler but given the exsiting tenants in building 2 we would not stay here again as we are on vacation I need mom and dad watching my every move and we are in our mid 50s and are the quietest people we don't drink or smoke and honestly could not figure these folks prob was not just us but others talked about this as well these tenants are really sad people and are angry and rude .

Can't imagine that it gets better than this.

This home was perfect for our stay when traveling with two teenage boys. The ground floor unit was so convenient to come in and out. I thought we would be sacrificing a view by not being on the upper floors but that was not the case. We sat out on the lanai for coffee in the morning and every meal. The unit is the second unit from the front so you are really just steps from the beach. The kids were able to walk to black rock and whalers village everyday. The unit had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of spices for cooking. We were alotted 1 roll of paper towells which didnt last us our entire stay so you might want to add that to your shopping list. I will agree with previous posters about the cockroaches. We did see one or two each morning, but it was NOT due to a cleanliness issue. It is a ground unit condo in a tropical island, there will be bugs. If your lucky, you might get a gecko friend in your unit and they help with bugs. They are good luck and are welcomed in Hawaiian homes so don't try to mess with them. You'll know they are there when you hear little chirps that sound like bird chirps. There wasnt snorkel equipment this time like other reviews have said. But there are chairs, umbrellas, and a skim board. There is a kiosk by the pool that rents chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel equipment. We rented snorkel equipment from them and I wish I would have rented elsewhere to save some money. You will love it here.

Beware of cockroaches!!

We booked this unit for our family of 3, including our 11-month old baby specifically for its location as it was on the ground floor. Upon arriving in the evening, the unit appeared very clean however we noticed several cockroaches in the kitchen. The next day, we noticed more and more cockroaches throughout the day - on the counters, in the fridge, in the dishwasher, in the sink, and in the cupboards. We messaged the property manager right away, and she was very responsive however it took 2 days for pest control to come in. Over those 2 days, the cockroaches were all over the kitchen and even in the living room and bedroom. We were uncomfortable with the chemicals being sprayed around our baby but we had no other choice. Unfortunately the pest control treatment did not get rid of the cockroaches and we had to spend the next 6 days of our vacation avoiding the kitchen completely. We had planned to make all our meals in the condo but we’re unable to due to the infestation. Upon checking out, I told the property manager that there were still cockroaches in the unit and she informed me that they found a hole under the kitchen sink (!) likely where they were entering from. The owner refused to acknowledge or offer any sort of compensation for this massive inconvenience. It is unfortunate as the unit, although somewhat dated, would have been the perfect spot for our dream vacation. Save yourself the headache, hassle and anxiety, and book elsewhere!!

Location Location Location!

We absolutely love being able to walk through the patio doors onto the lanai and directly into the pool or ocean. Combine this convenience with a really spacious and comfortable one bedroom condo and you’ve got a recipe for vacation success Admitted the condominium is a little dated, but the furniture is very comfortable, has good style that matches and just does the job in a very comfortable way. Well appointed kitchen with all critical appliances and utensils. A fantastic king size bed that made it hard to leave the apartment sometimes. If you’re a stickler for having everything brand new, and in resort condition , then you might wanna look twice but if you’re all about comfort convenience and a perfect location, then don’t look any further. The closet was well stocked with a boogie board, chairs, umbrella, and some snorkeling masks. There was suntan lotion, still in the closet. Lots of herbs, oils, and condiments in the cupboard… All this added up to a very easy week on Kaanapali beach!

This property was clean, convenient, and memorable for its proximity to the beach, drinking coffee on the lanai and watching whales jump in the ocean. We also loved being able to walk to great snorkeling at Black Rock.

Wonderful property and location

Had a wonderful stay at this property. It's in the Whaler complex right on the beach and next to Whaler village. Good pool, gym, BBQs on the property. The apartment was very well equipped - lots of towels, oil/salt/pepper etc in kitchen, beach stuff on cupboard. A little dated and too many mirrors for my taste (!) but that's just visual and the apartment is exactly as described and appears in photos. Would highly recommend.

This condo has it all!

We rented this condo as a family of four. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. Large and roomy, comfortable bed, everything we needed. There were boogie boards, umbrella, snorkeling gear, insulated picnic bag, and beach chairs. The pull-out sleeper sofa was good for kids, adults notsomuch, but the rest of the couch was comfortable enough to sleep on. There are two patio sliding doors, and you can walk right out to the beach and/or pool. We were there on spring break but it was never too crowded. The pool area had fresh coffee and a hot tub. Restaurants and shops a few steps away. The beach out front was beautiful, with black rock great for snorkeling. I would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic location

We had a fabulous time here! The condo was great. Worked well for our family with two adults and two kids. The kids are getting big and sharing the pull out sofa bed was not their favorite idea. What a treat to find an extra roll away bed in the closet. The condo was the perfect location and had all the amenities we could ask for.

Best vacation property ever!!!

Being new go vid UTI get Maui, we didn’t know what to expect to where to stay! They kindly switched us to their ground level unit when I let them know we have a 1 year old and 2 other kids. We loved being able to open the slider to the grass and walk straight to the pool, beach or boardwalk! The unit was spotless and well equipped with everything we could have needed and more… (a trundle, a pack & play, snorkel stuff, beach toys, kitchen supplies, etc.!) We cannot wait to be back!

Great value and location!

Perfect location if you are looking for relaxation and the convenience to walk to restaurants, bars and a few shops. Loved my morning ocean swims and walks, runs along the paths lining the water. And convenient if you want to hop in the car and explore all the beauty & activities around the island. The condo is well equipped. Recommend for couple with or without 1 or 2 small kiddos.

Nice Stay

Can't beat the location of this rental property. Perfect ground floor unit with easy access to the pool and beach. Amenities were plentiful and overall a really nice stay. If anything, maybe a few upgrades to the sofa and bathroom are needed to add a shine to such a lovely condo.
