It is full of character and excellently located for visits to colleges / central Oxford. The staff are well trained but also very personable. The food (both breakfast and other meals) in the Michelin-starred restaurant is outstanding. This was our second stay and we will definitely come again.“

The building may be old and quaint but facilities and service are bang up to date.What shone through most, however, was the commitment of staff who without exception showed profesionalism and did everything with a smile. „Let's start with the positive things: The hotel is very conveniently located on a quiet alley off high street, 5' walk from the Bodleian library, and 2' walk from the Oxford airline and Tube bus stop. The staff are all very helpful and efficient. The place is generally clean although the carpet in the common areas could do with a renovation.
Now the problematic ones. The rooms are small. I was expecting that given that the hotel is located in an historic building. However, the real issue is ...

We spent four wonderful nights here and were absolutely delighted. The room, although on the smaller side, was absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was decorated with so much taste!
Parking was a breeze, as it’s incredibly easy to park right at the front door—a huge plus for this area.
A couple of small things to note: the room was extremely warm, which was surprising for late April. I can’t imagine how hot it might get during an intense summer day! ...
