„The room was excellent, good size and with the hot tub it made for a very relaxing weekend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only downside of the stay was the lack of a bed and breakfast option. However this should not detract from the stay as the food at Damon’s restaurant was excellent and good value for money.“

During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. „The location of the hotel is perfect , literally on the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral and the castle. Parking is opposite to the hotel - although it is a public car park and a fee charged by meter upto 24hour parking available. The hotel itself is lovely, well presented and very clean. The restaurant area is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. I really thought the breakfast was outstanding and very tasty with a large selection on the menu. „The code for the wasn’t sent to me, but a phone call fixed that. There are no staff so everything is done by phone or message. Car park is nearby and reasonable. The room was fine with a good shower although it smelt as if someone had been smoking on the landing (not the room) Breakfast is very basic, toast, yoghurt Nescafé and cereals. But that was ok. It’s fine for two nights but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay for a lot longer. Good value overall if basic. “
