„Das Charles Inn ist ein altes Downtown Hotel. Die Zimmer haben einen gewissen Charme, das Inventar ist aber alt.Das Frühstück ist leider nicht allzu gut, am besten man sucht sich einen Diner, z.B. Nicky's Crusin Diner, dort soll man auch ab und zu Stephen King treffen. Die Zimmer im 4 Stock haben zwar ein grosses Kingsize Bett, sind aber nicht zu empfehlen. „Hotel wird mit viel Liebe geführt, auch wenn der Zahn der Zeit daran nagt, lediglich die Zimmer über der Küche, wie wir eines hatten, sind nicht zu empfehlen, da direkt vor dem Zimmer ein Kompressor steht und es bis 22 Uhr und ab 6 Uhr sehr laut ist. Leider wurde / konnte uns kein anderes Zimmer angeboten werden trotz Rückfrage“

„We arrived and our reservation was not in their system. The hotel was nearly booked out and we had to accept a different type room. The looks good from the outside, but you can see that it needs renovating. The room was ok, but you could see the wear and tear. It is a none smoking hotel, but the guests don’t seem to care. Breakfast was expansive with options sit in or take away to room. Excellent location to stay if you are visiting and don’t want a car or have a rental and want to travel. Travel as tourists often and will recommend if traveling to Maine or just Portland. Cheers“
