Eine unglaublich schöne und gepflegte Hotelanlage. Es fängt bereits mit der sehr freundlichen Begrüssung von Mutwalib an. Er hat mir das wichtigste erklärt und sogar noch ein paar Tipps für Zanzibar gegeben. Das ganze Personal ist sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Der wunderbare Strand mit dem türkisblauen Meer sind einfach unglaublich.

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem Strand und Pools. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt. Das Essen war in den Restaurants wirklich sehr gut und schmackhaft. Als einzig negativ zu bewerten war das es permanent Stromausfälle gab die nur am Hotel lagen denn in den Nachbarhotels gab es nach Rückfrage dieses Problem nicht .

Das Hotel wäre schön gewesen, wären da keine Renovationsarbeiten im Gange gewesen. In unserem Block wurde im Zimmer ob uns zwischen 01.30 und 03.00 Nachts gearbeitet. Sorry, aber das ist absolut inakzeptabel. Als wir uns am nächsten Tag bei der Reception beschwert haben, kam leider nur eine knappe Entschuldigung. Der Manager war leider auch nicht zu sprechen. Solange die Renovationen nicht beendet sind, kann ich das Hotel definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.

Anreisezeit vom Flughafen zum Hotel 1 Stunde 15 Minuten. Das Personal das aus einem Team von rund 120 Leuten besteht ist bemüht einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen. Das Essen war vielfältig und sehr gut, als Europäer aber immer mit bedacht handeln: der Magen Darm Trakt ist diese Küche nicht gewöhnt und vieles wird eben doch mit Leitungswasser gewaschen/angerichtet. Frühstückszeiten sind von 07:00 - 11:00 Uhr. Mittags von 12:30-17:00 Uhr. Abendessen von 19:00 Uhr. Hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit. Es wird alles ständig und Penibel gereinigt. Die Toiletten werden in 30 Minuten Intervallen inspiziert und alles glänzt. Die Zimmer werden perfekt gereinigt und das sogar zweimal täglich. Dabei wird immer darauf geachtet das der Gast so wenig wie möglich davon mitbekommt. Der Pool und die ganze Anlage sehen teilweise schon etwas abgenutzt aus, was aber aufgrund der gesamten Schönheit der Anlage nicht wirklich ins Gewicht fällt. Dienstags gibt es Dinner am Meer, Donnerstags am Pool. Eine unvergleichliche Show mit Liveband und allem drum und dran.

Der Strand ist toll, alles andere ist sehr einfach. Das Essen ist eine Katastrophe. Die Zimmer sind alt, schimmelig und sehr einfach. Die Bewertungen sind fraglich. Die Tidche in den Restaurants kleben vor Dreck. Die Motivation der Mitarbeiter ist schlecht. Wir waren in 2 weiteren Hotels und kennen so den Unterschied. Sansibar ist klasse, aber nicht dieses Hotel

Great hotel, very friendly staff
We were really impressed with every aspect of our stay in Royal Zanzibar. Our room was just the way we hoped for, with the stunning view to the sea (not all the rooms have that, one must reserve it, and it probably costs more) but for us it was worth every penny. The reception was beautifuly designed, also all the paths, flowers, bushes, trees, all beautifully manicured there were enough lounge chairs around the pool areas, they were big and comfortable and there were always some staff members ready to move one where you wished. The food was good, varied, tasty, both at breakfast and for lunch and dinner. Some dinners were at the beach and around the pool area which was romantic and very memorable. The staff made the biggest impression on us, all were friendly, relaxed, with big smile, never did we see a frown, rolling eyes or boredom. They were also nicely dressed. Wonderful sandy beaches, one could walk for kilometres, the boys on the beach were coming to us offering tours or something to buy but with a friendly manner and they weren't a nuisance. The sea water temperature was just right but the water felt prickly, apparently microscopic jelly fish (?) Some of us felt it, some didn't. It made me leave the sea water sooner than I wanted, and switch to the pool. All around very enjoyable and we would recommend it to anyone.

Starting off strong, bedsheets and pillows reeked of humidity, table cloths in the restaurants have oil stains on them. Some food are cold in the buffet (like soup) even if you go in the first 20 minutes. Plays horrible, horrible music at night- like Ciao Bella Club Remix level bad. And they BLAST IT so you hear it in your room as well. Also, they ask you for $95 to the airport, while a normal taxi around does it for 40, not even half. They try to charge you for everything, and it is in fact NOT all inclusive- only 4/5 cocktails included, e.g no tequila. On the bright side, the staff is lovely. They do their best to help you and make your stay better. The resort also “does not encourage to tip the members of staff” as they note on the briefing paper they give you in check-in, for some reason. Overall nice facility, relatively good food, large airy rooms, etc. Would recommend only for families with children or big groups, NOT for couples or individuals who pay attention to detail.

The Royal Zanzibar Resort has stunning views of the ocean, a white sand beach, plenty of activities to participate in, and gorgeous pools and restaurants. A highlight for me was eating at The Cliff Restaurant which has amazing views. The open air gym was nice for a workout in the morning. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. They advise you of the government imposed tax, and other than that, there were no hidden fees. The price I paid through Expedia included all I could eat and drink at the resort! I highly recommend this place. I travelled here alone as a woman and felt completely safe on the property.

Et dejligt ældre hotel. De står overfor store udfordringer. Deres aircondition er af ældre dato. Hovedpuder er af dårlig kvalitet. Lydisolering er påkrævet. Beliggenheden gør man ikke går op til byen og når man forlader hotellet via stranden, bliver man angrebet af lokale er tilbyder sig. Så irriterende. Føler lidt man er i luksus fængsel. I spise/ game område kan tilbydes at sætte fan i loftet, som kører på lavet niveau, så slipper de for kragerne(fugle) angriber, som samtidigt giver lidt luft. Har oplevet det i Indien og Thailand Angående kragerne som husere og Masai folket som går rundt med pinde og skræmmer dem væk. Opsæt udstoppet ugler forskellige stedet og flyt dem jævnligt, så forsvinder kragerne.

The ambience of the property is nice however I consider it very expensive in comparison to many other resorts I have visited all over the world. Zanzibar is generally expensive as they capitalise on tourists bringing in Dollars. I couldn't fault the staff as most of them were very nice and friendly. Electricity was intermittent and inconsistent. My money was stolen, reported but never found. In my opinion, the resort should be re-classified as a 3.5 - 4 star at best.

We are from the USA and when we book all inclusive it mean everything. Well at this resort everything wasn’t all included. The alcohol that was included was horrible. I have never been to a resort was they won’t include tequila. If I would’ve known that we would have never booked this resort. We ended up spending so much more money because we could not drink the alcohol they had. Also the all inclusive end at midnight and don’t start back until 10am. One day the bartender stop at 11pm and we ended up having to pay for drinks. The next day we do go tell the front desk about the problem and they said they was going to speak to the bartender but the didn’t refund us our money. Also they told us the was going to do something special for my birthday and they didn’t. We did the floating breakfast and it was amazing, the experience and food was top tier. We also did the dinner on the beach and the food was so cold. I was very disappointed about my stay at Royal Zanzibar

We had a fantastic 7 night stay at the property. Staff- The staff were fantastic. The man at the coffee bar ( i cant remember his name) was fantastic. So friendly and welcoming. Gloria, at the main bar, was lovely and enjoyed singing and sharing her local culture with us. Edward went above and beyond in his helpfulness and service. Just to name a few as all of the waiting staff in the main restraunt were fab as were most of the bar staff. We had a massage with Faith and Asha who were both professional and exceptional in their service. Rooms There was a probelm with our room upon arrival however we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a deluxe suite. It was beautiful and had a fabtastic view of the sea and pool. It was particualrly beautiful to warch the evening sunset and the sky change at night. The bathroom was enormous with a powerful shower, huge batha nd double sink. Plenty of replenished toiletries. The bed was comfortable and plenty of plugs ( British). Facilities The pools were enormous with plenty of space to swim/ play. There was a seperate space for water pilo so it didnt disturb anyone. Plenty of bars with lota of seating - both in the shade and in the sun Beach The hotel is right on a beautiful beach which is lovely for a morning walk. There are a lot of people on it later on who are trying to encourage you to go to their shop or take a boat trip with them. The water is clear although there is little to see snorkelling wise; starfish and enenomies.

L’hotel est beau et propre, il y a plusieurs piscines et transats disponibles facilement. Mais, l’eau de la douche est salée (horrible pour les shampoings), les buffets ne varient pas vraiment, il n’y a pas de peignoirs malgré nos demandes à la réception, le mini bar est resté vide tout le séjour, le personnel drague votre femme sans vergogne.

The stay at this resort was not bad at all and the facility is incredible with so many pools and an amazing beach. It just wasn’t what I expected considering the high cost. We were limited in what alcoholic drinks we could have and any special requests to staff were denied. We were charged for every little thing even though the room cost 550 USD per night. I wasn’t able to check in early and staff just generally didn’t seem concerned with our well being. The service for drink and food was slow and nobody checks in on you when you’re seated for a while. I don’t think it’s a 5 star resort.

The Royal Zanzibar beach resort was the perfect location to end my Safari vacation. The views are breathtaking and the property is gorgeous! The staff was so nice and helpful throughout our entire stay. They knew me by name and my drink orders by the end of the trip! I would highly recommend staying at the Royal Zanzibar beach resort. I can’t wait to go back!!!!

Amazing staff and hotel services. A MUST visit, and the staff will not disappoint. Very friendly and enthusiastic. The only disappointment was the road getting into the hotel. The hotels around the area really need to invest in the road as it’s the main road to access their properties.

The Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort, I would highly recommend! I love how the staff are so welcoming and helpful! Staying at the resort was very rewarding, it made me feel like I was HOME. I stayed in the ocean suite and the view was breathtaking! All in all If I had to rate the resort on a scale 1-10, it would be 1000. I loved it and I’m coming back in August. The impact Zanzibar has on me, I’m considering moving there! The staff met all my needs, very polite, and welcoming. If Royal is hiring in any positions, I’m all ears 😂 ASANTE SANA!
