Good but needs improvement
Good: The beach and pool are great. Especially if you take a walk out to the sand banks during low tide. But take your beach shoes with you, as you have to walk over some pretty sharp rocks to get there. The wifi throughout the hotel was excellent. Needs improvement: The vastly overpriced restaurant was very disappointing. I’m happy to pay premium i.e. European prices for my food, but then also expect that a certain level of quality is met. The food was fine but pretty underwhelming - especially when considering the asking price. The room also needs a smaller light by the bed or at least a switch to control the room’s main lights, which were both missing. The matress is brand new so was too hard for my wife - but was fine for me.

Dear Mr Zdunek Thank you for your review. Fortunately the issue with the beach is totally risolved and our guests can enter the water without shoes and any problems. It is difficult to call the restaurant overpriced if european people can never find seafood in Europe, particularly lobster and cevik, at the same low price like in our hotel. We are really sorry that when our manager and chef asked you if you were satisfied and liked the food, you did not let us know that there is something to improve according to your tastes. Very nice and quiet, the water and lights goes out quite a bit here, always a low tide so swimming is not possible shoreline coved in sharped rocks, Paje is a much better area and magnificent beach please go there, not much here in blue moon.. very nice people here, if your looking for peace and quiet maybe then this blue moon is for you.

Overall, very satisfied with our stay at the Blue Moon Resort. We stayed for 9 nights in the suite with a private pool on a full board basis. On the first day, we arrived at 8:00 am. It was indeed early, but we had to wait until 3:00 pm. We were exhausted from a long trip. A hotel should be able to accommodate guests by noon, which is the norm. For a supposedly luxurious room, it felt a bit outdated. The wardrobe was very small, with doors that didn't close properly. The hotel really needs to implement a ventilation system, there's an unpleasant smell in the room and the bathroom... The positives of the hotel: it's extremely peaceful. Ideal for those seeking relaxation and a private beach with fewer people. The restaurant is à la carte. The dishes are delicious, fresh, high-quality, and presented very meticulously, something rarely seen in a full board hotel ! But hope you are patient, it takes 1.5 to 2 hours sometimes to have a meal because of the time taken for ordering and preparing the dishes. It's not a big deal in the evening, but it's inconvenient at noon when we want to make the most of their time. The music is perfect, classy and not disco ambiance ! (If that's what you're looking for, you should consider Nungwi's hotels). The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. The staff is very attentive and truly cares about your comfort. We want to thank the staff for their kindness and responsiveness, with a special thanks to Swahiba! We will probably come back.

Établissement éloigné de tout, prix exorbitants. Le prix de l’hôtel est loin de la prestation attendue sur place. Inconfortable, les lits sur dure comme le sol. Pas d’entretien dé l’extérieur, les chambre sont vraiment mal entretenues et pas au niveau de la qualité attendue. Seul point positif la piscine et le personnel vraiment top.

Amazing resort, amazing facilities, amazing staff!
Our stay at Blue Moon Resort was something more than perfect. This place is a paradise on earth! The facilities are excellent, you can spend your whole day at the resort. The view to the ocean was marvelous, the rooms spacious and super clean. Also the staff was incredible they literally trying to make you feel like home and being super polite and friendly! I highly recommend this place for your vacation in Zanzibar.

Very good place to stay!!
The Resort was better then excepted. I recommend this place a lot for those who just want to have a good time to relax. Quiet place, and nice. Had only one problem with the electricity last night, but think that is fixed now. They have a lot to offer on activities for couple or families. One other thing is that they have a lot of hot water for shower. Have been in many places in Tanzania, but had little availability of hot water for shower. One thing is that the water had really salty taste.

Un havre de paix !
Tout était parfait du début à la fin, du petit déjeuner au diner, de la villa avec piscine privée à la magnifique plage. L'hôtel est implanté dans un jardin tropical bien entretenu. On a l'impression d'être en pleine jungle, ideal pour se ressourcer. Un grand merci aux personnels très sympathiques et à disposition pour qu'on passe un merveilleux sejour. Durant nos 5 jours nous avons pu profiter d'une plage à marée qui offre tout son charme. Nous avons pu rencontrer des pêcheurs locaux et participer à la pêche aux poulpes et poissons. Le panton avec la piscine est un grand plus. Si vous souhaitez passer un sejour au calme et en contact direct avec la nature le Blue Moon hôtel est l'adresse incontournable à Zanzibar.

Siamo stati accolti da Marina ,molto gentile mi ha aiutato ad organizzare il compleanno di mia moglie in stile Africano ,anche il marito molto disponibile che ci ha serviti per ogni capriccio. Hotel bellissimo fatto con gusto moderno europeo con il paesaggio magnifico di Zanzibar,nel territorio ci sono scimmie e animali che rendono il tutto selvaggio e magnifico. Colazione per tutti i gusti con una buonissima varietà di frutta. Personale sempre sorridente e disponibile , sul loro ci sono varie attività dai quod alle barca a noleggio. Davvero molto consigliato

We liked quality of the furniture around the pool area. We had a pool room that was lovely and spacious inside and out although the beds are a little firm for our liking. Everywhere was very clean and well tendered. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Down side is its a little isolated and quite expensive to get anywhere by taxi. The quad bikes are an excellent idea but we found them overpriced for the 4 hours you got.

Small friendly resort very well run The pool area is really nice with a large pool, rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean. As there is nothing much around the resort most people stayed on at nighr to eat and good was excellent. The best thing about the resort is the staff they are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble by the time you leave you feel like family.

Everything perfect! Marina, Francesca, Antonello and all the staff were super hosts, like a family for us! They advice and help us to discover Zanzibar and a big flexibilty for all our requirements. Вкусная еда, тишина и релакс!
Отель расположен в часе езды от аэропорта, до него Вам могут предоставить трансфер - машину с кондиционером, что очень важно после всей этой бумажной волокиты в аэропорту ;)) По приезду Вас встречают, провожают на ресепшен и предлагают приветственные прохладительные напитки )) Номер уютный, ничего лишнего, всё как на фото, единственно чего не видно, так это большой сейф в шкафу, наверное ноутбук дюймов 15ть влезет ;) Пляжная зона - много лежаков, различные пуфики и для посидеть и для полежать, подвесные гамаки, бассейн, вообщем всё как на фото ;) любителям покупаться в океане, лучше привезти с собой - коралловые тапочки, одел и иди купайся! Не надо говорить и писать что тут это невозможно сделать! Ещё на этом (Восточном) побережье очень большие отливы и стоит прогуляться и посмотреть на подводный мир ) можно сделать очень много красивых фотографий )) Отдельно хочется сказать про ресторан! Там работает самый лучший повар на Занзибаре! )) Еда очень вкусная, разнообразная и обалденные подачи блюд )) не стоит кушать одно и то же каждый день, нужно пробовать всё, особенно где есть морепродукты ;) На все вопросы и пожелания - Вам всегда ответят и помогут! Так же отель предоставляет интересные и безопасные экскурсии ;) Вообщем кто любит вкусную еду, тишину и релакс, Вам сюда ;) Хочется сказать огромное спасибо Всем, Всем сотрудникам отеля, Владельцам, за проведённые 13 дней в этом удивительном месте *) Мы уже скучаем…((
