The vista is from Kashi (Kashgar) in Xinjiang Province to about 2 hours away from the border town of Pakistan. We were traveling on a day excursion and all we saw were countless snow peaked mountain tops and lakes. Very stark and raw and isolated from the rest of humanity. Excellent photo opportunities! #blue

Most places are crowded with civilization but this rare window into the heart of China is what takes breath away, not the pollution in the cities! #ontheroad
