Thanks, Brodie, for leaving a review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that the wedding went well. However, we have a strict no-party and noise policy at our property, which is located in a close-knit body corporate controlled building. There were many people coming and going throughout your stay and lots of alcohol brought to the apartment. Unfortunately, there was also excessive noise reported and some damage caused to the bed, which had been moved. At the time of making your reservation, you were advised of the house rules and asked specifically:- Please cancel your reservation immediately if you and your group are not totally committed to:- A maximum 6 persons are allowed on the property at any time. The 6 person limit applies to the apartment, pool area and all common areas. This intimate apartment complex is a small close-knit community. You are required to move about the common areas quietly and respectfully. No parties or gatherings are permitted in the apartment, pool area or anywhere on the common property. The 6 person limit applies anywhere in the building at all times. Loud music, excessive noise, boisterous or unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate eviction without compensation. No smoking is permitted anywhere in the building. This includes the apartment, apartment balcony, swimming pool, carpark, elevator and common areas. An additional $500 cleaning fee applies if smoking is detected in the apartment. The apartment must be vacated in a clean and tidy condition. The dishwasher must be stacked with any dirty dishes and cutlery and activated prior to your departure. Extra cleaning charges will apply if dirty dishes are left for our cleaning staff or if the apartment is not vacated in a tidy condition. Any missing items or damage to the apartment will be charged to your account. Please avoid stains from make-up or hair dyes, which are almost impossible to remove from towels and linen. Replacement cost of stained towels and linen will be charged accordingly. The use of glitter is not permitted. An additional cleaning fee of at least $200 will apply if glitter contamination is found in the apartment. Thank-you, once again, for your review and we wish you all the very best. Thank-you for providing the opportunity to reply to Gary's review, which is a dishonest and inaccurate account of Gary's real experience. Gary was enjoying his stay immensely at this impeccable property, but his plans then changed mid-stay and he requested an early departure and refund for the final night. Refund policy states 100% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days - accordingly, a refund was denied. Gary continued to insist that a refund be issued and threatened to post a bad review if the refund was not forthcoming. It is somewhat a flaw in the system, that an individual can hold an owner to ransom and post a review that so flies in the face of every other on-line review about this property. I trust that any reasonable, discerning person can clearly see through this malicious and defamatory review for what it is.
