„The place was nicely remolded and looked like the photos. However, there was a terrible bug problem. You could not open the doors once it got dark out because hundreds of bugs would get in!! The counter tops would be filled with dead bugs the next morning. We would have to clean and vacuum a bunch of times. They seem to be trying to fix it by putting bug lights in the house. The host was super thoughtful and left personal touches related to our stay during the 2024 exlipse, including glases to watch the eclipse with. We spent our weekend hanging out on the dock fishing, watching the array of ducks, herons and swans swim in the inlet and enjoying a lakeside fire in the evening. „Camp Shah was a fantastic getaway for our extended family. We had such a great time swimming, kayaking, sitting around the fire and playing cards on the screen porch. The only suggestions I have is that the 100lb weight limit on the bunk beds should definitely be listed, and also possibly an upgrade to the refrigerator. Other than that, the property was wonderful and the owners were super responsive, friendly and helpful. I'd rent it again.“
