Unterkunft viel zu hellhörig:man hört Gespräche und Husten von nebenan und quietschende Dielen von oben.Bäder renovierungsbedürftig, Abflüsse unterirdisch.Definitiv keine 4 Sterne.Lage aber sehr gut.

Spacious rooms and great for parking. Staff really friendly and helpful. About 20 min walk to bowness which was just about right. All topped off with a fantastic breakfast. For what we paid it was money well spent

The hotel is so central for either Bowness-on-Windermere or Windermere. The bedroom was comfortable with lovely comfortable bed and bedding. Breakfast had a good selection with lovely staff.

Well situated between Windermere and Bowness. 10-15 walk to either. Full English was the best. Nicely cooked and comes out hot. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Place is a little tired in places and my shower had a few black spots of mould here and there. However, generally clean. This was one of the cheapest places to stay around Windermere and Bowness, when I was booking, so the price point and what was offered was excellent value. Would I stay again? A resounding yes.

The staff and service was excellent. The property was a bit tiered our first night was OK but second night with being on a weekend was noisy although they had a policy that noise and tv must be kept to a minimum by 22 30. But some residents seemed to ignore this and it went on to 1 30 in the morning so our second night was disappointing.

Lovely room, overlooking the stream at the rear, very quiet and peaceful. Excellent breakfast! Very good quality ingredients used and lovely menu choice. Very helpful staff on reception and in the breakfast room, couldn't fault the service at all. Will definitely stay again as only a one night visit this time to attend a family wedding in the area - would love to spend a few days on our next visit.

Just dont stay in room 3
Couldn't fault the staff , breakfast and the room decor, comfy bed and the right temperature. Unfortunately Room 3 was just too noisy. The floors from upstairs creaked so loud and you could here snoring from the room next door. Any use of plumbing from other guests was also an issue. Its a shame because it was in a perfect position for both the lake and the town.

Our room had a very small bathroom, the coat hook was over the dressing table, there were no draws to put clothes in, could have done with a small table - if you sat in the chair with a drink there was nowhere to put it. Coffee at breakfast was cold and not great. Staff were lovely though and the bed was comfy.

A few days in the Lakes.
Great Hotel in an excellent location for The Lakes, easy walking distance to Bowness and Windermere. Good parking, very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with great friendly service, particularly from Liam. Plenty of parking. Our 4th time at the hotel and we will be back. Thank you.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. There is a nice lounge/bar area. The area is nice and quiet, a little further away from the shops etc but easy to get to. The room was nice, spacious and clean. The shower head was dirty but apart from that we couldn't fault it and everything else was very clean. Breakfast was lovely!

Breakfast was very good and the location was excellent being almost half way between Windemere and Bowness. The staff were friendly and helpful; however the communal areas were tired in some areas and the room and bathroom were disappointingly small.
