An enjoyable stay. Staff were excellent. Lovely, quiet location but only a quick walk to Windermere. A couple of nice walks to the lake and Orrest Head. Great breakfast. Easy parking.

Fantastic hospitality and care from the staff, brilliant location in Windermere, and our room had a lovely free-standing bath which my wife spent most of the 3 days relaxing in. We will definitely be coming back!

The hosts were lovely and even offered us an option of rooms, the room was cosy with a nice bathroom and TV with options such as BBC iPlayer, itv x, etc. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff so friendly and attentive but not too much. I will definitely stay again and have also recommend to friends and family.

The Hideaway is a beautiful property in a quiet position but in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is free safe parking. We were made to free really welcome during our stay by Richard and his team. We were served a delicious breakfast everyone morning and given amazing homemade cake daily. We would definitely recommend to family and friends.

When we walked in immediately asked if we wanted upgrade. Staff couldnt do enough for you so polite . Breakfast was amazing again service was 1st class. Cannot fault our stay in any way.

I had such a restful and peaceful seven night stay, filled with fantastic breakfasts with everything you could possibly ask for. The room is in great condition, is clean and has all the amenities. I loved walking around the area and then to Bowness-on-Windermere which is about a 30 minute walk from the b'n'b or you can catch a variety of buses from Windermere Train Station, to other towns and lakes in the Lake District.

Amazing place in Windermere. Walkable to sites and shopping plus restaurants. Quick 14 minute walk to the water with boats heading to both Lakeside and Ambleside. The hotel and breakfast were amazingly Sue and her team did an amazing job making guests feel very special. Plus they make daily cakes- delicious!! I would give them ten stars if I could. Thank you!

Very quiet home made cake was delicious made to feel very welcome. Well situated within short walking distance of Windermere centre ample places to dine or just relax and have a drink would definitely re book if back in the area highly recommended.

This beautiful and cozy guesthouse is the absolute right choice for your comfortable stay in the Lake District. You don’t need to look at other hotels! Located near Windermere train station and bus stops, very convenient to explore the region. Staff are very friendly and nice. Every morning, I enjoyed very good breakfast (so many options!) and greeting and chatting with them. It was a great start of a day. A piece homemade cake they provide every day was delicious and made me happy. The building itself is lovely and a view from my window was amazing. I would love to stay with them again.

What a lovely place to stay. So relaxing. Great location and accommodation, The staff were lovely and, as everyone has commented, the breakfast was amazing and the daily choice of cakes a lovely touch. Absolutely fabulous, Lovely welcome, Breakfast 11/10, Nothing is too much trouble, local shops, bars & restraints close by in Windermere village (5mins walk) Bowness by the lake a good scenic stroll @ 25mins, plenty of shops, pubs, nightlife, Quayside very much recommended, all in all a lovely calming stay, highly recommend and we will be back! Thanks to all the staff ;-)

Hideaway at Windermere - highly recommended!!
Lovely hotel with pleasant, friendly staff. Great location on a quiet private road, with ample private parking. Approx. 1 mile walk into Bowness. Food at breakfast was cooked fresh to order, good selection but staff happy to make up pretty much any combination we asked for. Clean and comfy room, with en suite…nice, large shower. We booked the mini comfy room so not loads of storage/hanging space but was fine for our 4 night stay. Lovely touch in that fresh made cake offered to overnight guests each day which we can highly recommend!! Overall would definitely stay again! Thanks for making our stay in Windermere so pleasant!
