„This is a lovely cottage in a stunning location. The photos don't do full justice to how nice this place is. Small and still perrect for our little family. Very well equipped. Gorgeous gardens, bbq, outside seating is a plus. Lovrly nature right on your doorstep. Hosts were fab. Recommended!“

„Originally we had planned to rent a mobile home to go on holiday but due to 10 days of rain (more or less) the decision to rent a flat was much better. „After nearly two weeks in B&Bs it was really wonderful to stay in Garden Cottage for 6 days. It is a very well equipped house with all you need and more. The cottage has enough space to live in, a nice little private garden, a calm and beautiful surrounding. And...what is more important than all this, the owners Colin and Lesley are very nice and helpful people. We liked the little chats and friendly suggestions. We really recommend this cottage in the calm region of the Lake District.“

„The MellFellView Cottage in Penruddock is a great place to stay for visiting the Northern Lake District, Ullswater is just a 20 min. drive with the car, we walked there around Glenridding and took the Steamer up to Howton. A wonderful voyage. Penrith is nice for a visit, too, some shopping in the little shops around the old town, nice cafes and charity shops. Don't miss the wonderful Hedgehog-bookshop! „Bedroom wall had bad damp all over one wall which left a musty smell. Main room had only one blind which meant sun light woke me up at 4/30 am. Terrible mattress which was awful to sleep in. “

„This is a great apartment - it has a great location within 5 minutes walk of the centre of Keswick super handy access to Booths Supermarket and great views to the North looking at Skidaw and its approaches. Inside it is comfortable and has everything that you need for your stay - all kitchen and laundry is as expected and bed linen plus bath and hand towels were provided for each guest. Will absolutely stay again.“

„Lovely caravan which was very clean and dog friendly. Well stocked including bowls for doggy. Communication from the owners was excellent. They even sent us a list of dog friendly walks some with dog friendly pubs. Lovely dog friendly pub Mason Arms just across the road from the camp where they let doggy sit under the table whilst owners had a meal. It was a small caravan site which was quiet and well laid out just what we needed.“

"Basically a nice hotel. A few things could be improved: There is no storage space for things in the bathroom. Lack of hooks or bars to hang bathroom towels. The save was not functional. The room made a newly renovated impression, but unfortunately with the above missing details."
