„Very Scottish decor’ for some reason.
Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. I could see how frustrated the staff and the customers were getting with the whole situation. The room was clean and tidy with good tea and ...

Cosy room with comfy bed. The only minor drawback was that there was no bedside lights which was slightly awkward for reading “

„Lovely hotel. I was upgraded to a classic double and the yoom was gorgeous . Nice staff . Very helpful.
They were having an up grade and refurbishment whilst I was there but it didn't affect my stay .

„Sehr Familienfreundlich und war gar nicht laut, obwohl es in einer Pub ist. Das Zimmer war etwas klein mit Babybett. Ich würde daher ein größeres Zimmer empfehlen. Die Teppe war auch etwas nervig mit Kinderwagen.“

„A fab stay at the hare and hounds. What a fabulous friendly pub with great helpful staff. Food was fantastic. Our room was spacious, clean and had beautiful views. We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend more to anyone wanting a base to stay for great walks and villages surrounding.“

We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

„There was a hiccup during check in due to the hotel not receiving the message about our dog staying with us. The hotel think this is due to Expedia not passing on the message. Anyway, the hotel quickly dealt with the problem and we had a lovely time. The food was excellent.“

„Stayed here in 2023 and excellent once again.
Lovely room 1 Pen-y-gent the walk in shower i wish i could take home. Plenty of tea coffee in room and toiletries.
Had steak and ale pie with veg and chips. Big chunks of tender meat in luscious gravy, chips were home made and not the usual frozen ones! Meal was excellent.
Lovely fire in bar which was really welcoming on such a bad day
