Alternatively, head into Wells-next-the-Sea (2 miles) to stroll along the bustling harbour and take some snapshots by its colourful beach huts. Or go into the Georgian village of Burnham Market (4 miles) to browse its colourful collection of shops, cafes and art galleries.

Park in your private parking area and head into your delightful Holkham Estate cottage. Step into the lounge and you’ll find a welcoming space where a light, neutral palette makes you feel instantly at home. Take a seat by the wood burner to admire the contemporary, country-style decor. When it’s time to eat, head to the chic open-plan kitchen/diner to rustle up some of your favourite dishes to share at the dining table. After dinner, pour a glass of wine and retire to the lounge to unwind by the glow of the wood burner. At the end of the day, there are two beautifully-styled bedrooms waiting for you – a generous king-size and a charming double. A smart family shower room serves both bedrooms.
