„We had a beautiful stay in Kilifi, especially after we left another hotel to stay at the Silver Palm instead. The service was excellent, it was clean, the restaurant staff practiced superb hygiene unlike what we had experienced elsewhere, and the food was delicious. Couldn’t recommend it more. “

Der Strandabschnitt vor dem Hotel ist bei Ebbe wunderschön mit klarem und flachem Wasser, sodass man über freiliegende Sandbänke weit ins Meer laufen und trotzdem baden kann. „Really loved our stay at this special cozy little resort. THE STAFF WERE ALL AMAZING!! Our room had a comfy bed (great shower) and a couch and chair on patio. Super clean. The pool was so nice in the afternoons and the bar area is great with cozy couches and a TV and books. In less then 5 minutes u are at the beach and I always looked forward to a nice greeting by Moses the security guard and Daniel our friendly waiter/bartender. Don’t hesitate to stay here! Plus they have decent Chardonnay!“

I was thrown into a random house in Watamu, dogs running through the room, the person in the next room being violently sick all night. Etwas Geschichte gehört zu einem Besuch in Watamu einfach dazu. Ein Abstecher zu Ruinen von Gedi bringt dir die Vergangenheit des Ortes näher. Mach einen Spaziergang am Meer, während du in der Gegend bist.
"Das Billionaire hat zwei Bereiche: das eigentliche Billionaire Resort am Meer mit Appartements (22 insgesamt, von denen aber 11 im Besitz von regelmäßigen Gäste ist) und das „Lion in the Sun“ (nicht direkt am Meer), das Zimmer anbietet. Bei der Buchung in Expedia landet man im „Lion in the Sun“. Im Lion in the Sun gibt es mehrere Hütten, die je 4 Zimmer beinhalten. Jede Hütte hat ihren eigenen Lounge Bereich mit Sofas und einem eigenen Pool. Außerdem gibt es noch einen großen gemeinschafts-Pool. Frühstück gibt es in dem Teil in dem man übernachtet. Restaurant nur im Billionaire. Ein Shuttle Service Transportiert einen wann immer man möchte von einem in den anderen Teil (600m Distanz).
Der Strand am Billionaire ist felsig, die Pools im „Lion in the Sun“ sind traumhaft und sehr ruhig, perfekt zum entspannen. Das Fitnessstudio ist gut, hat aber leider kein WLAN. Das Personal ist super freundlich und bemüht. Wir können das Hotel weiter empfehlen. Der Strand am Billionaire hingegen war etwas enttäuschend."
