Great stay!
We had a very nice stay at Villanovia. The house offers everything what you need: lots of space for a big group, a pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, fusball/kicker, lots of different sitting areas, … Every room has their own bathroom. We can recommend to have the pizze cook come over - great experience! Delicious! Volterra is about a half hour drive away. We can recommend this place!

Wunderbares Haus mitten in der Natur
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche auf dem Anwesen. Das Haus hat eine unglaublich schöne Lage, ist gut ausgestattet und biete viel Platz. Laura und ihr Mann sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber und kümmern sich schnell um jede Anfrage. Das Catering ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. 2-3 Matratzen könnten mal wieder erneuert werden, ansonsten waren sehr zufrieden. Hoffenlich sehen wir uns bald wieder :)

Die Villa war sehr schön gelegen in einer traumhaften toscanischen Landschaft
In der Villa war alles vorzufinden das man für eine traumhafte Urlaubswoche braucht, ein großer Pool, Sonnenliegen, Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet Platz um ein Volleyballnetz aufzubauen. Genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Wir waren 28 Leute und haben unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert. An einem Abend haben wir im Pizza Holzofen Pizza für alle machen lassen, war super lecker und kann ich nur empfehlen! Wir werden die schöne Zeit in der Villanovia immer vollkommen positiv in Erinnerung behalten und ich kann nur positives berichten. Auch die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin oder ihrem Mann war sehr unkompliziert und zielführend.

Geniale Unterkunft
Wir waren mit einer Jugendgruppe dort, tolles Grundstück, verschiedene Plätze zum chillen und sitzen. Für uns wurde extra der Pool im Oktober noch offen gelassen. der Blick über die umliegenden Hügel und auf Volterra ist Entspannung pur! Dafür haben wir die Anfahrt über die Schotterpiste gern in Kauf genommen. Alles wie beschrieben, wir werden wiederkommen.

Großes stilvolles toskanisches Landhaus in ruhiger Umgebung
Wir haben mit elf erwachsenen Personen einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Urlaub in der Villa verbracht. Die Villa hat einen fantastischen 360° Blick, der allein schon für ein absolutes Highlight sorgt, ohne das Grundstück zu verlassen. Der Weg dorthin ist anspruchsvoll, aber mit unserem SUV ein großes Vergnügen. Jedes Zimmer mit eigenem Bad ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Alle Fenster sind mit Moskitonetzen versehen, was auch zwingend nötig war. Der Pool mit seiner Länge von 11m wurde von uns auch reichlich genutzt. Es gibt auf dem Anwesen zahlreiche Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, jede mit fantastischem Blick. Die Vermieter Laura und Marco sind mit ihrer ausgesprochenen offenen, freundlichen Art tolle Gastgeber. Laura hat uns viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Kochservice im Haus. Wir haben uns zwei mal mit Pizza ( aus dem 300 Jahre alten Ofen ) überversorgen lassen. :-) Wir kommen auf jeden Fall zurück!!! Laura e Marco, mille grazie! Petra und Peter

Wunderschönen Urlaub in einem tollen uhrigen Haus
Wir haben mit sechzehn Personen ( acht Erwachsene und acht Kinder) einen wunderschönen Urlaub inmitten der Toskana. Der Blick vom Grundstück ist in alle Richtungen ein Traum. Der Pool ist einfach phantastisch und auch der Blick aus dem Pool. Das Haus ist so groß dass man genug Platz hat, um sich auch mal aus dem Weg zu gehen. Die Küche ist mit allem ausreichend ausgestattet. Zwei große Kühlschränke boten ausreichend Platz um auch Getränke zu kühlen. Weiterhin hatten auch einzelne Zimmer/ Appartments noch Kühlschränke. Trotz der enormen Hitze war die große Halle immer angenehm kühl. Der Weg zum Haus war schon nicht ohne. In der Beschreibung steht, das man von der Hauptstraße fünf km Schotterstraße fahren muss, dies ist eigentlich auch so, aber vom Gefühl ist dies jedoch weiter. Sehr steil und kurvig zum Teil. Dennoch wird man von der Ruhe und Aussicht entschädigt. Man muss die Einkäufe und Auflüge halt gut planen. Für unsere Kids war ein Problem, dass das WLAN ziemlich schlecht war. Für uns nicht. 😊 Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Aussenbereich sollten dringend erneuert werden. Wir können das Objekt nur empfehlen, für Gruppen bzw. Familien die es uhrig mögen. Danke an Laura und ihren Mann für die tolle Zeit. Die Kommunikation zwischen Vermieter und uns war auch problemlos.

Ein Juwel im wohl schönsten Teil der Toscana
Dieses zauberhafte Anwesen lässt keine Wünsche offen für jeden, der Erholung und Abgeschiedenheit im vielleicht schönsten Teil der Toscana sucht. Der Rundum-Panoramablick ist sensationell, der Garten und das Haus sind riesig groß, die individuellen Zimmer allesamt sehr sauber und gepflegt, und die gesamte Atmosphäre atmet Ruhe und Frieden. Hier kann man es sich richtig gut gehen lassen. Das Städtchen Volterra ist genügend nahe, dass man zum gelegentlichen Einkaufen oder abends mal zum Essen hinfahren kann. Wer allerdings jeden Tag unterwegs sein möchte, den könnte es stören, dass man vom Anwesen aus zunächst rund 5 km über eine holprige Schotterstraße fährt, bis man das geteerte Straßennetz erreicht. Die Besitzerin Laura ist sehr kompetent und freundlich, ebenso das Verwalterpaar. Kurzum: Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren, und höchstwahrscheinlich werden wir das auch.

Hello and thank your for your review and for having been such great guests. It is always a pleasure for us to host groups that appreciate the uniqueness of Villanovia, placed at the heart of the countryside. Right there, inside a natural park and definitely far away from hectic life. When we first discovered this place, more then a decade ago, we immediately felt at home and became passionate about it. We were determined to bring the place back to the old days when the local sheppard and peasants used to gather here for evening parties in simplicity and peace. We were convinced that we wanted to share all of this because other people might feel the same and get inspired by our project. And thanks to our guests and many that have encouraged us along our way, we still are convinced to continue to improve the experience.

Spacious house in nature
The place is in the middle of a huge green area, ideal for those who want peace and quiet location. We were in group of 19 and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Marco, the owner, is very attentive to all details and always around to help. House ammenities were a plus for those rainy days when we could not visit sorrounding Tuscan cities.

Ett underbart hus i Toscana som ligger otroligt vackert.
Gott om utrymme för vårt sällskap på 25 personer. Vi var väldigt nöjda med lokaler och rum som hade egna badrum. Härlig pool som vi nyttjade dessa varma dagar. Första kvällen hade vi bokat deras kock som lagade pizza till oss. Det gjorde att vi kunde lägga vår tid på att packa upp och bo in oss. Gott och trevligt. Om det ska nämnas något minus så är det den krokiga och smala vägen till huset som var lite besvärlig på vissa ställen. Vi hade även önskat att det var en bättre miljö station som var närmre huset. Att det ska finnas stora sopsäckar i huset som ska användas för transport. Nu var det långt att åka för att slänga sopor. Många av oss hade gärna vara kvar några dagar till eftersom trivseln var stor.

Eva, we are happy you enjoyed the stay. Regarding the waste bins, they are located in the district common place. We offer a service to collect the garbage every 2 days. The trash bags as well the toilet paper are available in the Volterra supermarket

This property was absolutely amazing. It is just like the pictures in the VRBO. We had a large group of friends and it was very comfortable with rooms and bathrooms for everyone. Fantastiskt hus och utsikt i alla väderstreck
Underbart hus med plats för alla med egna krypin med eget badrum. Vi var varierat antal under veckan och som flest 25 st och vi kände alla att det fanns gott om utrymme. Olika uteplatser att äta runt om huset där man kan välja utifrån solen eller vinden. Vi hyrde deras huskock en kväll som gjorde en fantastisk 4 rätters middag till ett rimligt pris. Utsikten är verkligen magisk och ägarna supertrevliga och diskreta. Så nöjda.

Magnifique endroit idéalement placé au cœur des collines toscanes. C’est paradisiaque et le propriétaire est gentil et discret. Bémol: le chemin d’accès, long de 7km, est très cabossé et oblige de rouler à 20km/h, rendant les allers et venues compliqués.

Charles we are very happy you spent a great week at our home. For the future potential guests: the gravel road is 5km and is periodically maintained by municipality. The driving style is personal, anyway we suggest to respect the local speed limit of 40.

Gite exceptionnel en pleine nature
Gite très fonctionnel permettant à un large groupe de profiter pleinement de moments en commun, tout en gardant la possibilité de s'isoler grâce aux nombreuses terrasses. La vue sur les environs est exceptionnelle. Nombreuses rencontres avec des animaux sauvages lors de nos balades dans la réserve naturelle toute proche. Panoramic Villa with breathtaking views
This property is in free heart of rural countryside and as it states, the last few miles are a dirt track. However, the property and views are worth it. Superbly equipped kitchen , lots of seating areas to appreciate the views . Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Only 35 mins to Volterra. Recommend a car with good tyres.

Ett fantastiskt fint hus med en underbar omgivning och oslagbar vy. En kortare biltur in till den mysiga staden Volterra där affärer, restauranger finns. Trevlig hyresvärd som är lätt att nå om det skulle vara något samt trevliga och hjälpsamma caretakers. Vi bokade även en ”homemade meny” som var fantastiskt god. Jag kan starkt rekommendera detta mysiga hus med den oslagbara omgivningen och dess fantastiska solnedgångar!

Simply wonderful
The villa and the surroundings were beautiful. We were three families and there was plenty to do for everyone. A swimming pool with a beautiful view, table tennis, football table and a jaquzzi. The drive to the villa was beautiful despite the 4.5km dirt road. It was well worth it. Reception by a very friendly manager, who was also the chef, went well. (despite the language barrier). She cooked for us one evening which was really delicious and another evening she brought food. Highly recommended!!! The house and all the room were beautiful. It was nice that everyone had their own bathroom. The large common area was lovely, as was the spacious fully equipped kitchen. Contact with the owner was very good via Whatsapp and they were very helpful. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and the beautiful view. Thanks Laura and maybe see you in the future.

Dépaysement total
Nous avons passé une superbe semaine de vacances entre amis (19) dans cette immense demeure au milieu d’une réserve naturelle dans le calme absolu. Tout y était: accueil chaleureux de Laura et Marco, salon extérieur permettant de profiter de l’époustouflante vue à 360 degrés, grande piscine avec cette même vue, cuisine très bien équipée, chambres spacieuses avec chacune leur sdb et équipées d’airco (pas nécessaire car maison ancienne avec mur très épais), long chemin d’accès pittoresque (non bitumé mais bien entretenu), rencontre avec la faune locale (biches, chevreuils,…), de magnifiques parcours pour les joggeurs mais attention aux chiens de berger qui ne sont pas très accueillants… Possibilités de réserver des repas que des locaux viennent préparer sur place ou des pizzas cuites dans l’immense four à pizza sur place. Si vous possédez un 4x4, Marco vous décrira un raccourci pour atteindre de magnifiques plans d’eau de la région: dépaysement garanti ! En résumé, superbe domaine à réserver sans hésiter ! P.s.: Encore merci à Laura pour la compote de pommes du jardin !

Rustikt hus med gott om utrymmen för hela sällskapet både inne och ute. Väldigt skönt att varje boende-del har egen dusch och toalett. Fint pool-område. Superbra service och jätte bra respons och bemötande från hyresägaren under hela processen. En kväll hyrde vi en privat kock som lagade mat åt hela sällskapet. Det var fantastiskt gott! Kan varmt rekommenderas. Huset ligger i ett naturreservat med mycket djurliv utanför husknuten. Bil är ett måste. Vägen är lite trixig på vissa ställen, men väl på plats är utsikten magnifik. Gillar man naturen och att klara sig på egen hand, är detta ett mycket prisvärt och bra boende i Toscana. Vi är väldigt nöjda med vår vecka!

Nous étions 8 adultes et 12 enfants. La propriété est très grande et fonctionnelle. Elle permet à chacun d'avoir son intimité. Chaque chambres possèdent sa propre salle de bain. La maison se situe sur un magnifique terrain éloigné de la civilisation, avec un panorama exceptionnel. Inconvénient : il faut parcourir un long chemin de cailloux et de trous pour y arriver à peu près 12 min avec une berline, donc il est préférable d'avoir un SUV ou aimer ne pas trop bouger de la maison. Les propriétaires occupent leur maison secondaire sur la même propriété. Mais ils sont discrets et sympathiques, (sauf quand Mr. décide de débroussailler tôt le matin :)). Pour les sportifs et les randonneurs il faut faire attention aux chiens de berger qui défendent leur troupeau, donc certains parcours sont à éviter. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, reposant.

Nous sommes heureux lorsque les clients sont à l'aise et peuvent se détendre dans cet environnement naturel, loin de tout et en même temps caractérisé par ses origines anciennes. Nous tiendrons compte de vos conseils comme d’habitude et nous nous efforcerons de tout améliorer le plus possible. Juste une petite précision pour le bénéfice des autres clients qui nous liront: la propriété est située dans un parc naturel et le chemin de terre pour l'atteindre (5Km) est entretenu par la petite communauté locale, qui en dépend pour ses déplacements quotidiens et ses fournitures. À vrai dire, nos clients, jusqu’à aujourd’hui, n’ont pas utilisé de SUV, mais des voitures normales, parfois louées à l’aéroport.

Exceptionnel!
Au bout du chemin...après 5 kms où il est préférable d'avoir des SUV...Quelle belle surprise que cette magnifique demeure, dans un cadre exceptionnel, où notre grande famille (30 personnes dont 16 enfants de moins de 11 ans)a pu profiter de la piscine, de la vue à 360°, du petit vent permanent qui adoucissait l'effet canicule! L'accueil , la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Laura , son mari, ses enfants. Volterra à 11 kms, San gimignano à 35 kms, Pise à 60 kms, la Toscane de nos images d'Epinal! Un souvenir inoubliable pour petits et grands!!

Ideal location for large groups
We stayed in the house for a week with a large group of friends (21 people) and I would definitely recommend it to others. The house is well located at the top of a hill where you could enjoy a magnificent view over the Tuscan countryside. Each bedroom is equipped with a bathroom and airconditioning and the house has a well-equipped kitchen as well. The house also has a large party-room. So if you want to throw a party, it is absolutely possible. The villa is located in an interesting region. It's only 20 minutes driving from Volterra, where you could enjoy many tasty restaurants. Siena and San Gimignano are also located within 1 hour driving. The house is located at the end of a 3 kilometer long bumpy road, therefore, I recommend to leave your Porsche at home. We have booked several houses with our group in the past few years and Villanovia comes out as our number one.

Au fond d'un chemin, nous avons trouvé cette superbe demeure avec une vue incroyable sur toute la vallée. La maison est très spacieuse, très bien entretenue et très propre. Elle est très bien équipée. La piscine est très agréable. Juste à côté de la réserve naturelle pour les balades. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La région est riche en lieux historiques: Volterra, San Gimignano. Situation à 1h15 de Pise et de Florence et 45 min de Sienne. Endroit à marquer sur vos tablettes

Magnifique villa typique avec un panorama à couper le souffle!
Très belle villa, propre, aménagée avec goût. Les chambres, appartements et coins salons sont disposés de façon à ce que chacun puisse trouver son intimité. Le jardin est très vaste et dispose de plusieurs terrasses. Les 5 derniers km pour arriver à la propriété ne sont pas asphaltés, ce qui rend l'accès assez pittoresque. Nous avons eu l'occasion de recontrer le propriétaire qui est très agréable. Bref, nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances à Villanovia et n' hésiterons pas à conseiller cette location! Never-ending views and birds singing.
Celebrated a big birthday with my family members and friends at Villanovia. We were a total of 24 ranging in age from 6 to 74 spending 11 fabulous days in perfect peace and harmony. The house lends itself to big groups and felt in fact empty when we were only 18 the last couple of days. Situated at the end of a scenic "driveway" (was technically not our driveway but felt like it) the house perch, like many Tuscan structures do, on a hill with 360 degree views with not a man-made sound to be heard, utter bliss to a city dweller. The house itself is kept in impeccable condition and is fully equipped. The owner was in the area for work the first 4 days and stayed at their separate house on the property. He was very helpful, friendly and full of information about the area. I would definately go back and my brother and his family is already planning on returning next summer. Camilla

Very nice week between friends
We rent the Villanovia villa to celebrate the end of our studies, for 13 people around 25-y-o, and had an amazing time there :) + The house was clean and comfortable, the kitchen big enough for the 13 of us, and the leaving-room incredibly huge ! The garden is very pleasant, and you will never get bored of the view By car, it's only 1 hour from Siena, barely 2 from Firenze - It didn't come to our minds to ask before, but we were quite disappointed to learn when we arrived that we coulnd't use the swimming-pool as it's only open from May
