Our family stayed for four nights in a 2 bedroom cabana, one room having a single over double bed for our teens. This is the kind of place we like. All the necessities including a mini fridge, stove top, toaster oven and coffee pot (there is a pot of coffee in the game room every morning). Our private deck with two hammocks and chairs was a bonus. We would come home tired and chill out there at night. chickens would come peck the grass every evening and the dogs woulda visit as well. We encouraged them to stay but only one did. If you aren’t into dogs they will ignore you, and we didn’t hear any barking. The family is around if you need anything. Jack has a small kitchen/bar and is a great cook. He serves up typical belizian as well as hamburgers. He mixes a nice rum punch and if he isn’t in the kitchen by the pool just holler and he magicly appears! His sides are great and having Jack there to serve us breakfast before going out for the day or dinner when we came home tired was a huge bonus. Just the four of us ate poolside by the light of a kerosine lamp a few times and it was so nice. David is a welcoming host who greeted us as we drove in the driveway and entertained us with stories about his journey one night when we asked for some time. The property itself is pretty and an awesome location for all of the activities of Cayo. We would stay here again for sure but it’s not for everyone. The downsides are noisy mattresses, bad pillows, ants and the pool was cloudy.
