„We spent two different nights in this lovely home, as it was half way point for our drive to and back from our Florida family vacation. This home is cozy and we all loved it. This house is a mix of old and new, with a touch of antiques and modern amenities. My only wish is that we would have been able to stay more than just over night each time we stayed so, we could have explored the area more. Overall GREAT place to stay!!“

While we chose to walk the short distance between the home and dock, as great bonding /conversation time, if you have small children or others with ailments I would encourage renting the golf cart. We will definitely rent again.“

One of our favorite things about The Hickory Hideaway is the open floor plan, wonderful lake view, and well stocked kitchen. We plan to return!“

„10 of us headed to unknown terrirtory--stayed in Sewanee to attend a concert (Irish band "Altan") at The Caverns. We wanted a place we could all be together (ha, we travel in a herd) and wanted a place where we would not disturb anyone as we love our music, competitive games (ha). This place was PERFECT! Extra clean, plenty of room, clear on what we needed to do on arrival/departure. Kathryn, property manager, was an awesome communicator, and appreciated her efforts in finding places to eat--we ...

„Cute house! Perfect for 3 and wonderful location! Needs a good deep cleaning to clear spider webs, dust and scuff marks throughout. But those are very minor. Would definitely recommend and hope to rent it again!“

Beautiful area and would highly recommend you bring or rent a boat during your stay. The steps from the water/dock back up to the house are visually overwhelming but built very sturdy and safe with plenty of landings to stop and admire the surroundings.“
