Gut für eine Nacht
Hotel wurde vor ca. 4 Jahre renoviert. Wir hatten ein schönes aber kleines Zimmer über der Bar wo zum Glück wenig los war. Sonst kann es laut werden. Eisenbahnstrecke liegt ggü. Die Züge kann man gut hören.

Ett bra rum med bra säng,kyllskåp och bra badrum - bra med parkeringsplatser. Otur att tågspåret befinner sig på andra sidan gatan. Bra centralt läge i Tuakau och endast 40 minuter från Auckland flygplats. Frukost betalas extra men serveras tidigast kl. 10.00…..

The only complaint was that the restaurant did not answer the room service line, hence I cud not order any food, left a message but no callback

The guest room we were staying in is in the renovated part of the hotel, which is otherwise historical and it feels it. The room is connected to a public verandah (also connected to a conference room and another guest room) and it was nice to just sit there watching the street below when nobody else was there. The room is on the main street of this small town and is close to the train station but soundproofing is surprisingly good.

Nice stay
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent cleanliness throughout the whole facility. Room was a little small but had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and good soundproofing from the rest of the facility. Some outside noise from the street and a late night train but all acceptable.

Was a pleasure staying here. On arrival they informed us the restaurant/bar was having live music and we could move room if wanted. We chose not to and had no problems with the sound from below our room. If ever passing through again would definitely stay.

Clean eco-friendly hotel with close-by amenities
The room was cleaned and drink items replenished daily during my one week’s stay at the hotel. The hotel is well located, close to Supervalue supermarket, and food outlets like fish & chips, 2 pizza eateries, and Western, Japanese Sushi & Thai cuisine outlets. A 24/7 fitness gym is also close by

Lovely remodeled historic hotel with clean, beautiful baths and amenities. Unfortunately, area near hotel is rather noisy due to bar in hotel, quick shops across street. Trains are regular throughout the night, but less disturbing than the street noise from motorcycles, rowdy persons on street, etc.

Good sized room with comfortable king bed. Good water pressure in shower. Clean, neat and tidy for a one-night stay. Victorian feel around the hotel. There is a bar downstairs so not sure on the noise levels through the evening as we were at a wedding, but location was quiet from when we returned and had a great sleep with no disruptions. I would stay again.

Beautiful country hotel that's been restored to a high level of comfort. We stayed last minute while travelling from Corimandel through to Bay of Islands. Late arrival and no problem with collecting keys from the pub part of the hotel - staff super friendly, and dinner at the pub was delicious. Local cafes available for early breakfast next morning (breakfast not available at hotel until around 10ish from memory - downstairs in the pub area). Pleasantly surprised by this last minute booking in a country hotel - only one issue with the hot water taking forever to come through in the shower - not sure if that's normal? Maybe turn shower on 5 minutes before you need to get in, but otherwise a wonderful stay.
