Chupra - schläft 8 Gäste in 4 Schlafzimmern

  • Chupra underwent a massive renovation during 2024 and is now reverse-level with the living area spanning the full width of the property, there two sets of bi-fold doors that open out onto a large balcony, to accentuate the wonderful sea views. On the ground floor there are four spacious bedrooms, two with en suite facilities, this a wonderful destination for family or friends. Chupra is ideal for a bustling holiday with children, regular jaunts to the beach for swimming or rock pooling, taking the ferry over to Falmouth or St Anthony, collecting ice creams from Fudge and More, or amazing walks along this majestic section of coastline. The Rising Sun, Idle Rocks and Watch House are just down the hill and perfect for a lunch time meal, an afternoon drink, or dining out in style.

St Mawes is one of the most exclusive traditional villages in the Country, with a wealth of activities within close reach. Historic Castles from the era of Henry VIII, glistening blue waters, bustling beaches, Cornish Pubs, award-winning restaurants, amazing coastal walks, ferries to different locations, little motor boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, all available for rental. (During the season) The Roseland peninsula has a huge variety of places to explore, there are many beaches, some with golden sands, some with shingle, all with a splattering of rock pools, there are secluded coves, towering cliffs, and the famous lighthouse at St Anthony. (Fraggle Rock for everyone of a certain age!) The artists' haven of Portscatho is well worth a visit, as is Veryan. with its famous round houses.

Another visit to Chupra

A great property to stay at in St Mawes. Modern, tastefully decorated, well-equipped, comfortable and with outstanding views. The only issue to be aware of is that - whilst the property benefits from a designated parking spot - it is not easy to get bags to and from the property. It has not deterred us from visiting Chupra again, but would be a consideration for anyone with mobility issues.

A base for a sailing regatta

Five of us rented Chupra for a week for a sailing regatta in St Mawes. The house has a wonderful position overlooking the bay and only a few minutes walks to the quay. We didn’t use the car at all. The parking is good but narrow. The interior of the house is upside down - living upstairs so you get the full benefit of the view and position. The furnishings, decor and beds are all new and in good condition. Chupra enhanced our stay in St Mawes and we would hire again if we come to St Mawes again.
