Preis-Leistung in Ordnung. Zimmer war gut. Umgebung sehr schön. Restaurants direkt vor der Tür. Die Stadt ist fussläufig winderbar zu erkunden.

Gutes gehobenes zentrales Mittelklassehotel
Zentral gelegenes Hotel in der Nähe der Fähranlegestellen zu Magnetic Island. Der Rezeptionist war äußerst nett! Wir bekamen eine der beiden Klimageräte nicht ausgeschaltet. Da kam er einfach kurz mit aufs Zimmer, hat es ebenfalls mit der Fernbedienung probiert und als es dann auch bei ihm nicht funktionierte hat er einfach die Sicherung dafür ausgeschaltet👍 Wir hatten auch ein Upgrade auf ein Studio von ihm erhalten, da wir zwei Einzelbetten gebucht hatten, ein solches Zimmer aber nicht mehr frei war.

Sehr schönes Haus in Zentrumsnähe
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit diesem Aparthotel. Auch wen wir keine richtige Kochzeile hatten, sondern nur einen Kühlschrank und den üblichen Wasserkocher. Es waren aber Teller, Besteck, Kaffeetassen und Wein, bzw Saftgläser und eine kleine Spüle vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und modern, mit LED TV, und DVD Player. Auch ein kleiner Balkon war vorhanden auf dem man morgens sehr schön Frühstücken konnte. Wir können das Oaks Gateway on Palmer jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

3 Nächte in Townsville
Wir hatten das Oaks für unseren Zwischenstop auf dem Weg nach Cairns und für einen Tagesausflug nach Magnetic Island gebucht. Die Anlage und das Zimmer sind wirklich sehr gut, einzig der Internetzugang war mit 22AUD doch recht teuer. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und die Einrichtung ist noch recht neu und nett gemacht. Die größeren Apartments haben auch eine Kochzeile. Positiv war auch die Lage, man war in wenigen Minuten auf der Flinders Str. wo es viele Lokale, Restaurants und Pubs gibt. Sehr zu empfehlen ist hier besonders die Browerie und der Caktus Jack Saloon. Wir würden das Oaks auf jeden Fall wieder wählen.

Confortable yet odd stay
The room was.large and comfortable with a king size comfortable bed. Not a bad location and free car parking underneath hotel was great. However, this was a strange experience. Half the people here live in the block which leads to loud parties, chats that are easily heard through the thin walls. Also the residents seem to resent the hotel guests. Cleanliness not great. The fridge was rusty. Why leave a rusty fridge in the room, very odd. So, whilst a comfortable stay, it was odd and wouldnt stay again

Was a great room , nice and clean and everything as advertised , pool closes at 8 which we feel 1 hour to early , but nice pool with nice views , easy walk to local shops and cowboys leagues club

Bit annoyed at the guests next door playing music and partying half the night until we put in a complaint. There should be zero tollerence to this behaviour to deter people from having to ring reception and complain. No warning kick straight out. OK for the price.

Pros- A/C was very good and kept the whole apartment nice and cool. We had a great view of the river. The pool was very relaxing and clean. Bonus is that it comes with private parking and there’s plenty of restaurants around. Cons- beds weren’t very comfortable and they place could have been a bit cleaner.

Close to centre of town and a short walk to great dining options. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Reception was very helpful. Overall a very good place to stay.
