More what I didn't like. The bed was so hard I couldn't sleep, then there was heaps of noise and banging which was quiet scary at midnight. Don't like no duvet cover, just a duvet inner, not impressed with that. I was in what was classed as a deluxe unit, it wasn't. Definitely only 3 star. Could have done with four pillows on the bed and certainly didn't seem like a king size bed. Easy check in, friendly staff.

Very clean, spacious room. Everything you could want for an overnight stop. Great shower, plentiful amenities and fantastic service. Even though I checked in late the manager was very kind and welcoming. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Although nothing intrinsically wrong, the room was cold and midwinter with only a blow heater to heat the room up which was noisy. Sadly the truckdrivers driving past ignored the local laws and were using engine breaks until well into the evening as well.

This was our first stop on our way to Queenstown from Christchurch Airport. It seems like a small family-run business, and the owners were really nice. Beth, at the reception, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She gave us tips on what we could do and where to find good food. Check-in and check-out processes were also a breeze. The room we stayed in was clean and well-maintained. Would definitely recommend this motor lodge to anyone looking for a stopover on their road trip.

Parklands is easy to find as it is just off main road, but far enough away from the traffic to ensure a quite stay. It is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in for a while, friendly hosts (even carried my bag up the stairs). I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

On a busy road this property with single glazing was extremely noisy. This, coupled with either being very cold or running the loud rattling heater, resulted in a very poor night's sleep. I'm not usually fussy - spent many years sleeping in a tent or a hole - but this was a shocker. I won't stay again.

The property is situated on the main SH1 close to busy junction. We stayed there on a Friday night and the road was horrific. The owner told me that this was a regular Friday night problem caused by boy racers.using this section of the road for illegal road races in highly charged illegal cars and bikes. Apparently the police haven’t been able to stop it. Just for the record the sound nitric charged engines, screeching brakes, big bore exhausts and reving engines went on from approx 10.30pm until approx 3.00am. Additionally this problem will not just affect this property but all the other motels/hotels situated on this section of road. If you must stay there avoid Friday night!
