The Mushroom House is a fantastic ground floor apartment set within the walled gardens of the former Zion House and on the site of Colonel Fothergill's Mushroom House. Perfectly placed for making the most of Tenby and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast, it offers a peaceful base while being just a short distance from the golden sandy beaches, colourful harbour and lively streets of one of Wales’s most loved seaside towns.

Tenby is a wonderful place to explore on foot, with its cobbled streets, pastel-coloured houses, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and traditional seaside charm. Spend the day relaxing on one of the town’s beautiful beaches, wander around the harbour, enjoy fish and chips by the sea or simply take in the views across Carmarthen Bay.

Tenby has a wonderful array of independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants with little gift shops and local boutiques to cosy cafés, ice cream stops and places serving fresh local food, there is plenty to discover tucked away along the colourful streets. You are never far from somewhere to stop for a coffee, enjoy a leisurely lunch or settle down for dinner after a day exploring the beaches and coast. With the harbour, beaches and town centre all close together, it is easy to leave the car behind and enjoy Tenby at a relaxed pace.

There is plenty to discover beyond Tenby too. The stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is right on the doorstep, with spectacular coastal walks, hidden coves, rugged cliffs and some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales. Walk a section of the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path, head to nearby Saundersfoot for a stroll around the harbour or explore the beaches and countryside that surround the area.

For a day out, there are plenty of places within easy reach, including the historic town of Pembroke, the beautiful beaches of Barafundle Bay and Freshwater West, and the charming village of Manorbier. Boat trips, wildlife spotting, castles and plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring make this a fantastic part of the world to discover.
