Michaels Bay Getaway -House/Cottage Rental on Quiet dead end road (housekeeping)

3 bedroom house with recent updates ready to rent out for your vacation on Manitoulin Island. This property is on a quiet dead end road only 15 mins from the Ferry Dock. Michaels Bay boat launch is just down the road and the Manitou River is across the street. Pets extra charge. House is fully stocked with all necessary cooking essentials. Drinking water is reverse osmosis tap.1 double bed with top single bunk, , 2 King beds and sofa bed are all available.

Bring your own food and you are all set. Ask about price reduction to bring own sheets and towels. Ask about cleaning fee reduction to do enhanced cleaning. All would be refunded after check out and verification done.

This is a housekeeping unit. this means you have to wash and put away all of the dishes, sweep or vacuum and leave garbage properly sorted for recycling and leave the place tidy upon departure. Wipe down the outside tables, barbeque, inside tables, remove spillage in the fridge and stove. Also, clean your hair out of the bathtub drains.

CLEANING FEES REFUNDABLE VS NON REFUNDABLE CHARGES:
Garbage must be sorted correctly, not placed in black garbage bags, not left in any places other than as per the instructions you have been provided, garbage removal is very strict on the island therefore it is imperative that the rules are followed. Garbage bags should not be left outside where wildlife can get into it. Recycling must be sorted as per instructions and only clear or blue see thru bags used for both recycling and non recycling. We will refund $100 of the cleaning fee if the garbage is properly taken care of, there are no cigarette butts laying around and any dog poop is removed and we don't have to clean hair out of the drains or do any excessive cleaning. Any excessive mess or uncleanliness in the house or outside will result in reduction of the refundable portion of the cleaning fee depending on degree of issue. We will also consider refunding more if cottage is left exceptionally clean

The house has a septic system so please don't flush things other than bodily fluids and toilet paper. Make sure no taps are dripping and that they shut off when not in use

Remember this is a cottage in the bush. Mice can sometimes get inside as will insects if doors and windows left open. Wildlife can also be spotted outside. During the fall when the evenings start to get cool there could be occasional mice that sneak in. We do set traps and try to close off where they get in but one could get through from time to time
