Its not updated because it was the first hotel evee made in Santa Ana, so its historical and the city wants to keep it aa original aa possible. It does have ac. Very safe and secure. „For foreigners, you have to go 20 minutes down a rock road which runs along the lake. Plenty of options for restaurants along the way. Fairly easy to locate, I would stress that you do not attempt to drive to or from here at night because of the road. The restaurant/bar on site had great food and I ate here each night. Decent alcohol selection. The views are the lake make it worth staying and only a hour or less out from major sites, I used it as my home base.
