Hida Takayama Onsen Takayama Green Hotel (KEIO GROUP HOTELS)

"Das Hotel liegt gut zehn Minuten Fußweg westlich des Bahnhofs, während die Touristenattraktionen östlich des Bahnhofs liegen. Morgens fährt ein kostenfreier Shuttlebus ein paar Mal direkt in das Touristengebiet, während den Rest des Tages mit einem etwas seltsamen Fahrplan nur der Bahnhof durch den Shuttlebus angebunden ist. Unter der Woche wird das Hotel scheinbar primär für ausländische Touristengruppen genutzt, während am Wochenende japanische Individualreisende dominant sind. Es handelt sich um ein „japanisches Spa-Hotel“, z.B. liegt auf allen Zimmern Hausbekleidung, mit der man auch in das Restaurant gehen kann. Es gibt zwei getrennte Onsen-Anlagen (heiße Quellen) mit jeweils mehreren Becken in unterschiedlichen Temperaturen – und natürlich der obligatorischen Milch in den Getränkeautomaten. Morgens wird im Restaurant ein reichhaltiges Frühstück angeboten (Mehrzahl des Essens ist japanisch, aber es gibt auch genügend westliche Auswahl). Sofern gebucht (was ich empfehlen würde) gibt es abends ein hochwertiges All-you-can-eat Buffet (wiederum hauptsächlich japanisch, aber auch genügend westlich), wobei die angebotenen Gerichte scheinbar jeden Tag identisch sind. Das gebuchte „Standard-Zweibettzimmer Tenryokaku“ (das Hotel besteht aus Gebäudeteile, und Tenryokaku ist einer davon, und zwar der „einfachste“) ist groß, die Betten sind bequem und die Klimaanlage stört nicht. Ich sehe keinen Grund, ein teureres Zimmer als das Standzimmer zu buchen."

"Schönes Hotel mit großen Zimmern und tollem öffentlichen Bad. In der Nähe von Bahnhof und Bus Center. Altstadt ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar und nicht weit. Hatten eine schöne und entspannte Zeit hier."

"The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable overall. It had everything we needed like a fridge, safe, good lighting, and strong air conditioning. The room was also very quiet. We barely heard any noise from neighboring rooms. I also really liked the bathroom layout, as the toilet, sink, and shower area were separated, which made everything more practical. The location is excellent as well, very close to sightseeing spots, buses, and the JR station. The only downside of the room itself was the lack of proper storage space for clothes. There were only four hangers and no real wardrobe, although for our two-night stay it was manageable. The smoking room was honestly terrible. The smell was extremely strong and unpleasant, and it made the entire 9th floor, the public bath entrance area, smell like cigarettes. We stayed there for only two minutes and all of our clothes smelled afterward. The ventilation or air freshening there was really poor and hard to tolerate. Another frustrating point was the laundry situation. Many guests left their clothes in the machines long after the cycle had finished, and whenever that happened we had to inform the front desk and wait for staff to handle it to wash/dry our clothes. Each time this caused around 15-25 minutes of waiting just to use the washer or dryer. Of course this was mainly due to inconsiderate guests, but I think the hotel could manage it more efficiently by removing finished laundry when other guests are waiting."

"Super nettes hilfsbereites Personal. Grosses Zimmer, kleine Sitzplatz und kleine Nische zum Kochen. Kein Trinkwasser. Na ja dafür 3 verschiedene Tees Viel Parkplätze und die Sehenswürdigkeiten 20 Minuten zu Fuss. Sauber und noch sehr neu! Hat uns sehr gut gefallen."
